Jerkins gave Neptunes demos to Michael

If the Neptunes songs were musically similar to the 'Superthug' 1998 song, a song that Michael Jackson liked a lot and it was also produced by The Neptunes, then he would have recorded them for his 'Invincible' album.
But Michael recorded YRMW, which sounds similar to RYB
How does that add up?
maybe he was just inspired by the Neptunes...

'You Rock My World' sounds similar also to other songs which Rodney Jerkins and his team wrote and produced for other artists during that period.

For example, 'You Rock My World' sounds similar also to Whitney Houston's 'If I Told You That' 1998 song.

Justified is super generic, the 2 follow ups though are pop masterpieces and these are the songs Michael would have taken to another level. But JT did fantastic too, great music.

If I told You That unfortunately is ten times the song YRMW is.

You Rock My World is a masterpiece. It is genuinely taken for granted. The quality of it is immaculate.
No shade, I like the song, but the new album was hyped up so much in the late 90s, that I thought it sounded too simplistic when I first heard it. After hearing various hype men proclaim the songs will "shake the foundations of the music industry", expectations were naturally high.

Significantly later, post 2000. Though the footage of the songs being made is out there.

I'm pretty sure Pharrell said it was 1999. It wasn't too long after "Superthug" had come out in 1998.
