Matt Fiddes Vows Legal Action To Prove He's Blanket's Dad [No Tabloid Links]

I'm not sure if fiddes is with some new pr guy, but he seems to be desperately stepping up his public profile. He's gotten engaged to his south african popstar girlfirend (who by sheer chance happens to be another client of this pr guy) and they have managed to get a tv reality show (if the pr guy can be believed). The popstar is going to record a tribute to mj with some 'top record producers', and they are going to be married at the end of the year with alex reid (ex husband of katie price and another client of this pr guy) being best man so that's a double page spread in ok sorted.

I'm afraid all this f**kery with fiddes will just rumble on, with his mj stories getting more ridicuous, as this is his only 'calling card' with the media. It's a real dilemma to know what to do with people like him, ignore and treat with the contempt he deserves, or do they just see that as carte blanche to continue. It is hugely offensive to me that a neanderthal like fiddes can get away with calling himself a 'confidante' of mj's and making up all these stories and i actually think now that someone like mrs j should release a statement. You don't see this happening with other celebs, so i'm sick of it happening iwth mj.

lol u couldnt write a film script like it if u tried.

You have to take anything his agent says with a pinch and then some of salt. I can't see this Moniqe woman getting a job on Reality TV in the UK when nobody knows her from Adam, she can't get a job on Dancing With The Stars, or Celebrity Jungle, or Celebrity Big Brother, because she's a nobody. Matt Fiddes is also a nobody here in the UK. Why would they get him when they could get some star who has actually got a career in the media, like an Eastenders star or someone?

Richard Curson seems to be a South African agent and Moniqe is a minor minor SA musician, so my guess if there is a reality show, it'll be there.

I also don't believe this PR relationship will survive until December. I think Matt's doing it to drum up interest in him going to LA in June, that's if he does go.

But I'm believing more now that future attempts of his on seizing on MJ's name won't be as successful and might even be called out on. TMZ has trashed his story and called him an "invalid source", they seem to treat him with amusement. When TMZ thinks you're a joke then you know your story is floating tits up (and I 100% believe TMZ called him out on it just because of how fans have been documenting every inch of his lies - fans are having an effect). Then there's his fake custody battle over Blanket - he says it's already happening, when we know it isn't, so if he goes in June and there is still zero custody battle, then what? How would he justify all his PR attempts? How would anyone take him seriously in the news after that? How would he be able to go into a news interview and say "Yes, my custody battle has been tough, I wish it hadn't been leaked by court documents, I'm here to get Blanket," when the reality is right there for American journalists to point to and say, "No, this isn't actually happening."

I do believe he will continue to attempt it, and will try and try to sustain some attachment to MJ in the press, but he's completely screwed himself over already and I just think that even though we might have to deal with yet more lies, that we're winning and he will be exposed more and more.

^ Thanks for your rational post! I think i was just disturbed at how such obvious lies could have gotten such widespread media coverage - didn't notice such coverage for bad25. The sunday sun's 2 x hitpieces were just such a compendium of the most bizarre mj stories ever collected in one place, that it was easy to forget they were actually talking about a human being - it's so dehumanising. I guess i'm just concerned this eg won't be a wakeup call for all those others out there that there's still mileage in sticking teh knife into mj. I agree, i think fans shouldn't take the high road and ignore f**kery like this, but counter it on popular message sites. I know if i read articles online, i tend to look at some of the comments.

richard curson is a british pr guy who swims in the shallow waters of d-list slebdom. Yes, agree tv reality show does sound a bit ambitious but do expect lots of mag articles in the gossiprags at thesupermarket checkout - how monique helped me get over jac** loss etc etc.

That is why sometimes it is best to stay away from the constant reading of these types of media, if they have the tendency to get one down. Keep buying the new Michael Jackson releases; keep promoting the new campaigns; keep sending him flowers; keep honoring his legacy--these are the powerful tools that put all the Matts and tabloid stories to shame.

^ Thanks pertrorose, wise words as ever!

I was reading about a minor political story which mentioned the security firm that supplied mj with his 'close protection' during the 06 wmas (ie not fiddis's martial arts cretins) and discovered an article in a regional paper from one of his bodyguards which i'll reprint as i hadn't seen it before. There's nothing partic new in it, no salacious tales of boa constrictors or mafia hits which is why it didn't hit the nationals, just a story about how kind and misunderstood mj was, which is the type of story fiddis should have written.

County bodyguard’s life with Michael Jackson
Wednesday 1st July 2009, 9:53AM BST.

The Shropshire bodyguard who gained a unique insight into the life of tragic superstar Michael Jackson today revealed what life was like with the King of Pop.

Patrick Parton spent eight days in the pocket of Jackson as the singer attended the World Music Awards in London.

He dined with Jackson and even played with the star’s children.

Speaking exclusively to the Shropshire Star, Mr Parton said: “From the start, we picked him up from his private plane and the way he talked to his children was surreal – he was very warm with them. I really saw something different in him.

“We all talk about things that follow him around but you’ve got to be open-minded.

“We all played football in the hotel corridor together. Michael had this pair of white socks on, without shoes. He took his socks off and started playing football with them.

“Michael put me in goal, and I’m rubbish in goal. But then he was not that good at football either, so it evened itself out.”

Mr Parton also saw Jackson’s caring side with his fans, saying: “There was always such a big crowd to see him and they would stay outside his hotel all night.

“One night he called me to him and asked how many people there were outside. I did a quick head-count and told him there were about 150.

“He asked me to order 150 pizzas for them. This was the side of Michael Jackson I saw.”

Another time Mr Parton went with Jackson and his entourage to see the stage musical Mary Poppins in the West End.

“Before we went he asked me to pick 12 people from the crowd outside to go with us,” Mr Parton said.

“I wanted children with parents because the last thing he wanted was just kids, it was not good for the press. But we all went in a massive motorcade of cars.”

Kevin Horak is managing director of Clearwater Special Projects, which co-ordinated Jackson’s personal security on his London visit.

He said: “People wanted to get very close to him but did not mean him any harm. People would queue up for him for hours, for news of something.

“There was an effect that he had, and still has, on a lot of people.”

Illustrating how there were often people out to stitch Jackson up, Mr Parton described how the entourage went to a restaurant in the West End – Jackson, his bodyguards, the Prince of Bahrain and several high powered shop owners.

“We left at about midnight and Michael said we were going shopping because one of the shop owners was going to open up for us,” said Mr Parton.

“We made sure it was locked down and there were no press or photographers there. At one point Grace, Michael’s kids’ nanny, held these kids pants up and said ‘Michael, how about these for the kids?’

“The next day we picked up the papers and there was Michael holding kids underwear.”

Somehow the media had got hold of CCTV footage from the shop and had used it to twist the actions of any normal parent.

He added: “I can understand his life now – it was like living in a goldfish bowl. He could not do anything.

“But going back to his fans, one time there was a big push outside the hotel and a lady fell over. Michael stopped and helped her up. He could have been pushed over himself.”

Mr Parton said that when he heard that Michael Jackson had died it did not seem real.

But even though it was three years ago that Mr Parton worked alongside Jackson, he said he had doubts about his planned 50-date world tour.

Patrick says: “When I heard that he was going to do 50 concert dates, I thought ‘Not a chance’. It would take Superman to do that.

“When fit rock stars do tours they are worn out afterwards and he was not as fit.”

Mr Parton said he would remember the Jackson he got to know during the week he worked for him, not the Jackson portrayed in certain parts of the media.

He said: “I saw a different side to him to what is portrayed by some parts of the press. In those eight days we did a lot together, went to a lot of places and saw a lot of things – all of them good.

“My impressions of him were all good. He was a very shy person and just wanted his little circle (of people).

“He was a good family man, very caring, and very caring towards his fans.

“It was the people around him that he trusted. He trusted too many people. He trusted too many wrong ones.”

^^ Thanks for posting the above article Bonnie Blue, I really enjoyed reading it.

Nice when someone points out the real Michael which the tabloids twist at every chance they get.

So True !

I miss Michael :(

Its obvious that someone from that store grabbed that video footage & sold it to the press  , its like no matter what mj did there was always someone out to use him

Thank you Bonnie Blue for posting this article. http://www.shropshirestar.com/latest...#ixzz1wSt9lUq5 It really is wonderful to read a positive article about Michael. About the story released the next day with Michael's picture; well I am not at all surprised. I can't even imagine how Michael endured the scrutiny and invasion of privacy with everything he did. I'm so grateful Michael had his faith and his children to help provide some sanity. I know Neverland was there for a long time, but that was even taken away. Sorry to get off topic there. Just unbelievable, this media!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I normally think 'whatevah', when I read stuff like that, but I couldn't keep my mouth shut when I saw the headline: "Blanket's DADDY etc, etc." (Blanket se pappa in South African). I mean, Blanket only had one daddy!! Matt Fiddes and his young girlfriend blocked me from twitter after that, while I was being polite. I told them what they did wasn't very pretty and what I said before, that Blanket only had one daddy.

Yes, imagine Michael paid extra to visit the store when no one was there, and then the staff did that. I hope Michael got a partial refund because I am sure he requested to have some privacy.

Lovely article, although unlike the bodyguard, I feel Michael was able to do 50 shows. Many do not understand how spread out these shows were.

Chamife if they blocked you, I guess you touched a nerve with them, so good for you. Your mission was accomplished.

Has Matt dared fly out to LA yet?

Did a quick recce of fiddes's twitter timeline and was a little surprised to see that he is now claiming to be a descendant of sir francis drake and is planning a round the world voyage in honour of england's famous seaman. Disappointingly, a closer look revealed it to be a retweet from a 'jack drake'. Tbh that was the only vaguely interesting thing in his timeline - you can almost understand how he latched onto mj as he has a v boring life.

^ LOL

So no hide or hair of him in LA yet? He mentions nothing of it on his twitter, he's mentioning some "Olympics classes" and some conference coming up in the UK for the next few weeks. Not a single mention of LA.

I really hope tabloids don't let him get away with how he totally dropped his intense court case and didn't bother to fly out to LA or do anything regarding his legal battle in June the way he said he would. I will be so mad if The Sun prints some other story on him about Blanket in the future, because letting him get away with lies this big is inexcusable.

The media dont give a crap bout it anyway as they are pretty much happy he did it and at the same time used him for that story. i guess to the sun & fiddes they think they all are winners but really they are such sad cases lol

True. The tabloid encouraged him to write the story and know it is all likes, so they are not going to call him out on it. When they need more trash, they will seek him out again and he will give another version of this story, because I heard this story from him before 2012.

Someone should ask him in a im really intrested way when hes off to L.A and what happened to the invitation to f.l. did randy not want anyone hogging his limelight as he parades around F.L on monday

Wow, the madness of this guy go far....

Well technically randy shared the limelight with that thing tajj malik (whatever her name is) on monday and i am amazed he did that.

Funny thing, last night MO didn't let me copy the text, but today its ok?
Anyways here is the text:
The hat that Michael Jackson made famous goes under the hammer and is expected to fetch up to £10,000

The world mourned three years ago when the King of Pop tragically passed away.
Now Michael Jackson fans have the chance to get their hands on a coveted piece of memorabilia when a hat that the star himself made famous goes under the hammer today.
The trademark white fedora with a large Michael Jackson signature to the brim is being auctioned by Matthew Fiddes, who worked for Jackson sporadically over a 12 year period.
Images of the hat:

The fedora was given to Fiddes by Jackson in 2009
The item, with a black leather headband and golden stamp of the star's name, was given to Fiddes by Jackson in 2009 and is expected to fetch around £7000-£10,000 at Kerry Taylor's auction house today.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Knowing what a slime ball MF is, how can anyone be sure that this hat is really Michael's and was given to Matt?
Auction house probably knows that he was holding Michael's umbrella a few times, but it doesn't necessary mean that Michael gave him a hat. He could have bought similar hat and forge Michael's name to it. Michael was in UK March 3rd-8th for announcement TII. My question is, would he carry on stack of fedoras with him to sign them and give them away? He didn't have any shows there, why would he have that hat with him, and I don't think he wore SC hat casually?

I would be interested in how auction houses verifies authenticity of items that they are trying to sell? Do they trust the owner or do they require other proof?

^ I don't believe MJ gave him that hat in 2009, maybe in 2002 the only time they ever met.

Or more likely, forgery.

mj didnt even know who the guy was according to the lawsuit that katherine was going to testify in that was happening around the same time let alone give him a fedora. he prob got it off geller or lester seeing as they are all buddies. but he certainly didnt get in 09 .personally i think ive heard him mention this hat in the past long before 09 so he comitting fraud in one sense lieing about dates to get a bigger price for it. why wasnt he working for mj in 09 then in london if mj gave him that hat. infact why wasnt he working for mj in 07 and 06 and 05 when mj was in the UK. funny how he only ever worked for mj when geller was hanging around mj then disapeared off the raydar after that. what is it with all these adults who act like lovestruck teenage groupies when it comes to mj. arent they all abit old to have teenage popstar fantasies? obviously not. i guess they dont realise how sad and deluded they look

anyway what happened to his L.A trip???? court documents etc etc. i guess matt has forgotten and is moving on to his next attention grabbing scam *yawn*
