Could he have meant Miles Teller?
King hopes to turn āMichaelā into a two-part story. Lionsgate and Universal (which is overseeing international distribution) believe thereās enough material for at least one more movie. The studios suggest roughly 30% of the material that was jettisoned from āMichaelā could be reconstituted for potential sequels. Itās unclear how future films would handle the legal battles and abuse allegations that consumed much of Jacksonās final years. King has told the studios he would focus on the singerās later albums, including 1991ās āDangerousā and 2001ās āInvincible,ā the purchase and construction of Neverland Ranch, as well as āhis love of animals.ā
Absolute incompetence on the part of whatever legal team was responsible here.
The incompetence of the Estate was somewhat funny before, but now it's actually becoming damaging. Not good at all.Genuinely shocked that the whole āthey had to re-film the last third of the movie because somehow nobody bothered to look at the Chandler settlementā rumor was true. Absolute incompetence on the part of whatever legal team was responsible here.
"According to insider source" is the same rumor. Let's wait and see it ourselves.![]()
Inside the āMichaelā Overhaul: $15 Million Reshoots, Removing Child Abuse Allegations and Whatās in Store for Sequels
'Michael' underwent reshoots that cost $10 million or more in order to scrap an original ending that included the child abuse allegations against him.variety.com
Interesting, now we have an idea as to how Part 2 is gonna be like
I don't believe they just forgot. Branca was probably there when the godforsaken settlement was signed. Really shady story.Genuinely shocked that the whole āthey had to re-film the last third of the movie because somehow nobody bothered to look at the Chandler settlementā rumor was true. One wonders why they didn't just use the argument that since Michael, Evan Chandler, Johnnie Cochran and Howard Weitzman are dead, that condition no longer is valid, and that "it only pertains if the parties are all alive." That they decide, "Let's go for it" and just push it out there.I don't believe they just forgot. Branca was probably there when the godforsaken settlement was signed. Really shady story.
The article mentions they wanted to cover the Dangerous and Invincible era in the possible 2nd movie. No HIStory, so yeah, it seems like they won't try.If the two-movie idea comes to pass, would they even try to go there again, or simply pretend nothing happened? If they pretend, can HIStory even be mentioned at all?
I think they needed to make sure to announce Part II soon, even before the movie is released. So people donāt think the allegations will be completely āforgottenā.I see the media are all trying their best to try and sabotage the film already. Mentioning that the film ends at the Bad tour, instead of addressing the allegations, literally using those words.
Itās well known that they had to scrap that section , they wanted to address it but fucked up.

So is Janet and she isn't in. This movie was always going to be just a way for everyone to rake in a lot of money easily. Adding the allegations was always too risky. Actually I was pleasantly surprised when I learned they were shooting the police scenes because I didn't expect them to mention the allegations. They gotta add the allegations its apart of mjs life!
Oh my god, I love the focus of the camera on his shoes the moment when he is about to set off BJ MT25!!
I think that was a great response from the CEO, regarding the "controversial" part.
