Latest on MJJC

"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

I made this about 2 years ago. Turned out to be pretty accurate.

That’s actually a great point. MJ in the 80s had a build that actually resembled someone more akin to the 21st century. 40 years ago the average man had a very different build, I mean look at his brothers, his dad, then him. This never comes up in discussions of his appearance.
 
In some ways also reminds me of ..
The Jackson's A.A.D.. Well.. It's definitely for the new generation!
 
Going in, wasn't expecting the teaser to explicitly touch on any of the film's narrative (Joe, vitiligo, surgery, etc.); this looks to really just get eyes on everyone in the general public. ("Oh yeah, I loved 80s Mike (Thriller, Off the Wall) and watching his concerts, etc.; I'll go watch it") For that audience, think it did that very well. Looks great; love seeing the set recreations of these iconic locations we've grown up watching in SD!
Minor, minor nitpick that may just be limited to these shots; the casual clothing looks a little too clean and not... worn-in, I guess, like fresh off the rack.
Other than that, very solid teaser; at the very least, confident that the music and performances will be represented well.

100% agree, thought the same thing while watching the trailer.

I would love this. But how big is the chance this part 2 is actually coming? Wasn't the rumour that the film was cut short due to legal issues to cover the allegations? Then why would be get a part 2 with the allegations in the future?

Well, we don’t even get accurate documentaries when it comes to MJ.

I personally don’t mind condensing timelines etc but just straight up lying like bohemian rhapsody is a no bueno for me.
 
The high quality footage seems to a bonus to this. ..though wish they would put out real footage for us long time fans . Would love for BAD 88 to be in the cinema!

Things like that . Personally I would love The Last Photoshoots ...but of course I know it's not for the general public. So they probably won't consider that.

I could've sworn I saw a very brief glimpse of Jaafar on top of a car or limo. That could be a reference to the trial events.

Based on the teaser alone, looks like something the whole family can enjoy but I do hope they go deeper. It needs to be raw and gritty with adult themes.

Michael's life had both in spades - the film doesn't need to slant wholly either way. Just be even with it, showing both sides objectively and honestly.

This would be great if true. We simply don't know how far the reshoots went, or the details of the agreement with June & Dave Schwartz (it has to be them, since Jordy's emancipated and has been AWOL for decades).
 
I'm gonna avoid all other trailers for the biopic from now on, this teaser was all I needed. Don't want any more of the movie spoiled. 😭

That Motown 25 footage looks epic , the colour scheme totally matches , the Bad tour footage looks quite a bit more cgi.

I think the bigger nose jafaar is a recording session for OTW. Maybe its him and Q's first time working together
 
The trailer is pretty good. Thriller and Billie Jean, that's what people want to see. Jaafar doesn't have the same charisma as Michael, but he does a good job.

This! Like messing up minor details won't be the biggest issue as long as I don't have to endure mistakes like with Bohemian Rhapsody where actual songs are shown as being released in the wrong decade then I'm fine.
