There's no evidence they delayed the movie because of the cascios.

Heck there's still no evidence the deal the estate made with the estate had anything to do with allegations either.

Especially when it's extremely common for movies to be delayed.

You just heard from lions gate themselves that they are on their way to completing production, which contradicts what all these hit piece articles have been saying, but you're still choosing to believe the hit piece articles?

Will the chokehold the media has on people's minds ever losen???

Just to show you guys an example of how common it is for movies to be delayed on the Lions gate call they mentioned the movie John wick ballerina that's coming out in June. That movie was also delayed for a year.

So please stop saying the delay had something to do with the cascios or the settlement. You're just falling for the media's trap. They know people are ignorant about how movie productions go and they're taking advantage of that to spread bad press about the biopic.

Michael Jackson’s estate has initiated legal proceedings against a former associate of the late pop icon, who threatened to raise fresh allegations of inappropriate conduct before the release of a film the executors hope will quell the child sex abuse claims that shadowed his later years.
The strategy suffered a setback after HBO’s 2019 documentary, Leaving Neverland, which featured the graphic accounts of two men, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who alleged Jackson abused them as children.

Shortly after, the five unnamed accusers — who were not featured in the Neverland documentary — made their allegations. According to Jackson’s estate, the man had previously denied Jackson ever engaged in inappropriate conduct.

I would have thought that was pretty clear. As I said before, the quotes from John Branca in the FT are real and certain members of the Cascio family did indeed make allegations of sexual abuse. They are known fraudsters so it was never much of a surprise but I understand why people don't want to believe it.

With regard to the biopic, the subject of this thread, there has been no suggestion that any delay is related to the Cascio's.

Yes because he's an attention whore. He wanted fans to praise him at that time and that outweighed the desire for money

But when he was down and needed money he told bullshit stories about Michael.

Personally I don't see that happening as it's only February. If the movie was scheduled for its original April release then sure but in October? I wouldn't expect a trailer until some time mid or after June

Any sources on the "bs stories" that he allegedly told? Regardless, from what I remember from the interview he seemed genuinely annoyed and surprised at Wade for lying. Even if you're right, I'd argue he did the right thing in the end.

I'd rather not post links and bring more attention and views to the videos but you can look it up for yourself. Just search his name and weed. Then you should read the article on vindicate Michael that goes into detail about how Aaron's mother tried to sell that story back in the early 2000s and Aaron denied it at the time.

Fans need to start noticing the patterns in these people who exploit Michael. Because they all work from the same play book.

There is a strong incentive to sell salacious story's about MJ in the media. And yes even MJs "friends" are tempted and often give in for the money.
 
i didnt go through all 191 pages to see whether or not y'all have discovered this already but Apple Maps seem to have updated the satellite photos of Neverland during the production there for the biopic. you can see trailers, trucks and tents all over the ranch. You can even see the camera crane in the amusement park.

Yeah. This dropped at the end of January.

Teaser will be released during the same week as the original release date (April 18th). Full trailer will be out in June. Final trailer for MJ's birthday.

These are reasonable dates. I never expected to see anything for the Superbowl. That's 8 months away from release. Way too soon. We don't want overexposure. Let it sizzle like MJ said.
 
A final trailer is usually released a week or two (maybe even days) before the theater opening.
Not in August when the movie arrives in October.
It’s the last push of the marketing campaign.

See the new Captain America:
Opens this week. Got last trailer with the Super Bowl.
 
Plus:

The anniversaries around his passing date & birthday are free press anyways.
To formulate a marketing campaign around these dates would be redundant & constraining.

The movie itself & it’s release date informs an effective wide reaching campaign.
