"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

Just seems to me she wasn't a fan of the script and stopped paying attention after that. Not really sure why she's publicly calling him out about it though.

If I say it's obvious she's distanced herself from her father in a cold and weird way, I'll probably get a flood of fans insulting me for it… but it's what I've thought for years. Coleman's comment was sweet and in good faith, but Paris replying like that basically just means: "Don't associate me with that project, I don't want anything to do with it, stfu’".
I don’t see where there‘s the cold distance to her father.
If anything she’s distancing herself from the system, the machinery & the business around around her father.

It seems we as fans are allowed to voice criticism in each case and in every which way.

But if his own daughter criticizes „the circus“ and calls out what she perceives as „untruthful“ she gets the backlash.

It’s totally weird!
Guys need to understand that to her this is all personal. She‘s not a fan. It’s her father. Her family.
And she lost him to the very system we’re talking about here. And at such a young age nonetheless.
Have some compassion guys!!!

It’s our Heroe‘s daughter! And it‘s about our Hero‘s children..

I think there's a huge difference between the fans criticising the estate and his own children criticising the estate, as they are the beneficiaries of said estate and have personal involvement with them. PJ is not criticising the estate for how MJs legacy is being handled, she filed a lawsuit against them for charging her too much for lawyer fees. I can understand that PJ is having a personal fallout with the estate at the moment, but using this positive biopic news from CD as an excuse to air out her dirty laundry is completely unnecessary, and reflects poorly on CD as well as the biopic. We all have compassion for how she lost her father, but having a difficult childhood does not excuse poor behaviour, especially at her age. I'm getting tired of her acting like a loose canon.

Prince graduated from business, hope he is learning the ropes so he can take up more involvement with the estate because I really feel he may be the only one who can honour his father's legacy correctly. At the same time, I feel that is a big burden for him to bear alone.

she also speaks about it now in her reels she says that the biopic is Like a fairytale

She said biopics are fairytale, not reality. And it's true, most biopics are. Some are more accurate to the reality, some are a litte less. It's still an Hollywood movie at the end of the day, they'll show things one way: the best way for money and success.

She has explicitly told us fans that a specific part of mjs life is not portrayed or is somehow downplayed and that in our fan life we would like it, very cryptic I dont understand 100% what she is Saying

Wait! And see for oneself!

(Like with… mmh what comes to mind?
… Oh, the recent MoFi-Dangerous release..)

Also like above was stated before:
This is a Hollywood movie. It’s not about 100% historical accuracy. It’s entertainment & it’s mostly aiming for success at box office.

If you want 100% exact historical accuracy, wait for a documentary.

This is a movie. It will be aimed as an event. They wanna showcase the music, the showmanship, the goat entertainer of all time…

The expectations of some…
… should be thoroughly checked!

Sound more and more like it's gonna be a fluff piece, honestly.
Hardcore Queen's fans say the same about their biopic but its box office is 900 millions and the popularity of their music has been increased a lot. With Michael we've got the same writers and producers so it's naively to wait for a documentary.

I'm not waiting on a documentary.

If it's like the queen biopic it will be a genuinely bad movie.

Well let's see how she distances herself from the money, im finding her to be quite catty

Well..
Critic scores, audience ratings and first and foremost the box office success of that movie tells a different story.

Not to say that critics or audiences can err.
But in every measurement, the queen movie was a success.
Especially when you consider the impact it had on bringing Queen back into spotlight.
Do you how much better the Queen catalog sells/streams since the movie?
How much more present Queen with a new & the younger audience?

I'm well aware of everything you stated and I didn't say the film was unsuccessful. I'm not gonna argue with you on here about the quality of the film. All I'll say is that I hope the MJ biopic is a much better made movie. Of course whatever the outcome hopefully it'll boost MJ in the same way Queen's biopic did them.

If it is a totally by the numbers greatest hits package like borap was then yeah I won't be all that interested.

I suspect Paris has seen and remembers a lot of shit behind closed doors that would not portray Michael in the shining light that many fans think of him.

He was a deeply troubled man in his later years (the times she spent with him) and the image they want of him in this biopic is the fantasy that they will plant on the audience.

We know he was human and had many faults like most of us.

Ps, did Paris unfollow all of the Jacksons on instagram including Prince or is that just a silly rumour?

As a real fan being dissapointed and cringed out by a biopic seems inevitable, I don't see why people here are so enthusiastic about it in the first place
Agreed. Nothing about this movie is exciting.

Speaking for myself, I've been cautiously optimistic for a mainstream product that finally covers Michael's personal life with respect. The last one I can think of that did it reasonably well (though saying it was mainstream is kind of a stretch) was "Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland". The biopic performances will be fun to watch, but I think the former is a great opportunity for his legacy.

Its real i checked it

I don´t know whats wrong with Paris, since Leaving Neverland.

What are you talking about? Paris read the script and suggested changes they would make to it if they wanted it to be an honest and truthful portrayal of MJ. In the next script or draft they had not changed anything and kept what Paris thought was incorrect. Therefore she decided to distance herself from the film as they did not listen to her feedback.

And she also does not want to be "credited" for helping with a film that is making things up or hiding things.

She didn't say what aspect was inaccurate, so why do you assume it's Michael, and that she wanted him to be portrayed less positively? Could be the messy people around him that are portrayed too positively.

Tell me, are you all blind? Paris is obviously showing that she's not very interested in Michael anymore, tattoo removals, cryptic stuff regarding leaving neverland and the weird behavior with Omer Batti... it's only 1% knowledge of human nature that she's been totally flustered since leaving neverland you live in your imaginative everything is always good fan life and now she is unfollowed Prince and co say to me is this behavoir normal!?

Whats funny is that Bigis instagram has 3 of 7 last pictures with Paris at various MJ tribute events - 2022 and forwards = AFTER Leaving Neverland :)

How stupid u Can be when Ur father is falsely accused with Child molestation

„“A big reason why I haven’t said anything up until this point is because I know a lot of you are going to be happy with [the movie]. Like, a big section — the film panders to a very specific section of my dad’s fandom that still lives in the fantasy. And they’re going to be happy with it.”

Did You see Her Face on the Tribute?
No, I was not invited to the events, nor were I invited to interact with the Jackson siblings during the same event so I have no clue what transpired at those events.
