Michael's background?

I know Michael was born in the states, but what part of the world was his parents/grandparents from? Which countries? I realized a few days ago that I had no idea.

You mean like his roots? There might be some information from his mothers or fathers side I don't know of. Never really thought about that topic, nor looked it up. I would be suprised, if he was like half jamaican or something.

Michael's grandparents and great parents and great great parents and great great great grandparents were all born in America

He does have a direct male ancestor even furtherback who was french.

But other than that his other ancestral lines can't be traced to beyond America.

Black Americans African ancestors were brought to the US as early as the 1600s and all black Americans ancestors were present in the US before 1801 which is the year the US banned the importation of slaves. So Black Americans descend from this population group. They have been in America for many many generations by now and were here even before the US was a country.

At the time of the slave trade the countries we know of in Africa today didn't exist so it's absurd to ask what countries his distant ancestors were from. The areas slaves came from are mainly in West and to a lesser extent central Africa.

In addition to that Michael also has a small amount of Native America Ancestry (from Joe) and Chinese ancestry (from Katherine)

I have also heard Katherine also has a female Ancestor from ireland. But i've heard contradictory things about that so take with a grain of salt. Katherine certainly has European ancestry though because all black Americans do. Joe does as well (obviously with the french ancestor) on both sides of his family.

Michael was almost all African. Both his parents are African with Native American ancestry - Joe had Blackfoot ancestry, and Katherine has Cherokee ancestry.

Both parents do have some degree of European ancestry, though Joe has more European ancestry than Katherine with traces of French and possibly English.

It is widely believed that Katherine also has some Chinese ancestry.

It had been reported that Michael's African roots are in Cameroon, Central Africa.
