Help! Confusing use of language!!!

'Spam likes'. I don't know what that means. 🤔 Are we not allowed to just like stuff without also posting something ourselves? Really? Weird.

As for this gif, I love it. I just stared at it for about 3 mins solid. Funnily enough, it was one of the first images I bumped. Literally my 3rd or 4th, something like that. And the caption I gave it was something like, 'er, does this qualify?'. Cos I genuinely didn't know, lol.

I think I know now! This one is definitely 🥵

Although you're not exactly helping my early morning calm breathing sesh. :D

So now I'm all excited over the dance thread (which I had completely forgotten about, you know, cos Michael's dancing is SO important to me, lol) but it's not very active over there. I think it's had its moment and now it's fizzling out. Shame.

I also think it's hilarious (and awesome but mostly hilarious) that Manhood seems to be the biggest thread on here. Offhand I can't think of another thread that has as many pages as this one does. I think it's entirely appropriate but it makes me laugh.

That is so true, longest running thread, since 2005! And we are about to hit 1300 pages. Though based on other comments, it's a merge of few threads and had even more pages! You can see at page 1231 that it went dormant for about a year till we put life back into it ;)
Though I don't know how to interpret this information 🤔, other than the fact that he is an incredibly sexy man who just knew how to make most of that fact 🤩

It's also been closed a few times because people got over-excited with their language use. But it always gets re-opened. They did have to change the rating. It used to be PG13 and in 2014 it became 18+. It just keeps on going.

I think I said this before at some point, but the entire reason I joined this forum was this thread lol. I found it when I was Googling whether or not other women found Michael Jackson sexy lol. I grew up with so much media brainwashing that I legitimately was like, wait a minute...am I misunderstanding something by being actively turned on by this man I was told was unattractive my whole life? But then I found this thread (and many other fan forums) where it is very obvious that I am not in some strange minority, and then I was like ok. These are my people lol.

I remember being so sad that this forum was so inactive and then Hiker and I were talking on some other thread...I don't remember which one?... talking about the Gold Pants Appreciation thread and this one and how we were both shy to be the ones to restart it, which led to each of us posting in each one of those, and now here we are, months later, all so very happy, with a VERY active thread :ROFLMAO:

My only wish in life is that more people would join it! I *know* others lurk. I am completely positive lol.

I spend so much time digging through the archives. Which I love to do. Archives should never be left to become a fossil. They should be used and cherished. You all post the most beautiful pics of Michael but I think there are some gems stashed away in the archives, as well. I'd hate for them to be buried. I wanna get those pictures back out there.

I want to talk to Michael about his material archives. I don't think he wants to talk about it but I do. I have a great deal to say. Are you listening, Michael?

Sorry, where was I? Oh yeah, Michael being written about as not attractive. I certainly remember him being written about as a freak, eccentric, the 'W' word etc. But unattractive? Wow. That's all I can say to that.

Lol well to be fair, it wasn’t and isn’t my only interest or anything! What I mean is I didn’t know this forum existed until I found it after searching about his sex appeal. I was genuinely confused by how I was responding to him. It started out just being like omg, he is the actual coolest person I’ve ever seen. In fact first week of January I went away to visit a friend, and I remember thinking I was going to miss my morning routine which had, for a week prior to that, involved watching random Facebook reels of Michael dancing. I hadn’t even started listening to his music or looking into him at all at that point. I was just so into his dancing. I would scroll through all the other crap until I got to a video about him and then I’d watch it over and over lol. Anyway, I came back from that trip and immediately started watching him again because… I missed him lol. Like I actually thought about him while I was away. And this was Before I started listening to any of his music or even watching his performances or interviews. I missed him based on the 30 second clips I would catch randomly on social media lol. Pretty much immediately upon venturing into YouTube I was like oh my God what is happening to my body as I watch him lol. Because coolness has always been at the pinnacle of sexiness to me, all I needed was to see some Dangerous performances and I was full-fledged in love. But that honestly confused me a lot, Not just because it was Michael Jackson who I never thought of that way, but because I’ve really never had a celebrity crush.

When I was in high school a close friend of mine was obsessed with Michael. This was the early/mid 2000s. She never showed me any of his videos or dancing or anything, but We would write detailed letters back-and-forth all day at school about all kinds of stuff, and she frequently talked about Michael grabbing his crotch and how amazing it was 😂 😂 😂 at the time I was like WHAT, but I’m sure had I actually seen the footage back then I would have reacted the same as I do now. I have been dying to reconnect with her since I’ve become obsessed with Michael, but I can’t find her anywhere. It’s such a shame.

But anyway, yeah. A lot of stuff about his appearance was very negative then, with constant narratives about him being ugly, or a freak, or whatever. I never thought that about him, from what I recall. I don’t remember thinking anything bad about him. But I just didn’t put much time into thinking about it either way. To me he was just Michael Jackson, who had always been there my entire life.

NOW though?? It’s Completely unfathomable to me that anyone could say those things about him. Not just because he’s an amazing human and I find him sexy and hot AF but because I believe he’s objectively good looking, including in his later years. I think he’s one of those people that is actually so good looking it makes other people (esp some men) uncomfortable.

Speaking of our Michael thoughts prior to now lol

When I was a little kid I LOVED the Beat it video and the Thriller video. I thought he was so cute, and cool, and interesting. We had some random music videos recorded on VHS but my brother would always fast forward these ones so I didn’t get to watch them as much as I wanted. But then I saw the Bad video (short version) and I remember being really confused by it lol. I didn’t understand why I felt confused, but I did, and so I felt weird when I watched it.

Oh boy. Now I understand why I was so confused. I understand it thoroughly lol

About Michael looking/reading what we posted, we thought about it on May and early June 2009 but we weren't sure (it was confirmed after June 25.) We began to suspect because, for example fans requested to see his eyes and the next day he appeared without his sunglasses. Another fan requested him to wear a Peter Pan shirt and wore it the next day.
