Michael's mom reported missing /Grandma's Home/TJ appointed Co/Guardian with Katherine

Re: Michael's mom reported missing /TJ temp Guardianship/Grandma's Home

La Toya to Family
Stop Fighting In Public!

Damaging the family name? That ship has sailed,I'm afraid.

It baffles me that people can care about something that ridiculous,when the emotional health of three children is involved,yet there's no worries for that.If this whole thing had gone quietly and in private,they probably wouldn't have got help and KJ would probably still be out of reach.
I'm not enjoying all the drama,but I'm not upset it played out publicly.In this era of instant communication,it's much more difficult to manipulate the truth that way.

I have the feeling some people don't get how serious this is,it's not some disagreement over something petty that ended up being kind of embarrassing.It was abuse towards three fatherless kids.

Re: Michael's mom reported missing /TJ temp Guardianship/Grandma's Home

^^^

'It was abuse towards three fatherless kids'.

quoted for emphasis.

I hope the ruling includes phone contact requirement and the stipulation that if this is borken TJ becomes automatic temp guardian (if that is possible). I'd also really like to see restraining order against Randy at least or that he isnt allowed anywhere near the kids alone.

Re: Michael's mom reported missing /TJ temp Guardianship/Grandma's Home

I have noticed that before this saga started, the tabloids always inserted that MJ's estate was 500 million in depth, but when Jackson family saga started, they say family is fighting over 1 billion estate:) What ever suits to their own agenda.

Here is something to read to those people who thinks Gladys Knight was right. Btw, she was invited by family to perform that Cardiff concert, as well as other tribute concerts, so she is in family side, not the side of the truth.

GLADYS KNIGHT, PARIS JACKSON, AND ABUSIVE LANGUAGE
Posted July 26, 2012
R&B diva Gladys Knight used some pretty poor judgment yesterday on CBS’ “The Talk” when she weighed in on the alleged altercation between Janet Jackson and Paris Jackson. She had this to say:

See, I’m from the south and [we] was raised in that Southern way. You have to understand Paris is what, 14? How old is Janet? Who’s the one who tries to direct the other one here? And I would think that it’s a good thing she let Paris know who she is. She is a Jackson, she shouldn’t be putting the business out there like that. ’Cause people read into whatever they want to read into, that’s how they get the drama. So, she’s just trying to protect her, in a way. But if she [Paris] called me that, she wouldn’t have any teeth…. You respect your elders.

Sometimes, the quickest way to earn a side-eye is to try to slip a problematic comment into a conversation with the caveat that you’re joking, you’re “from the South,” or you’re black “and that’s just how we do.” This is one of those times.
Much has been said in recent months about acceptable forms of discipline for children. In the aftermath of Creflo Dollar’s high-profile assault charge, and in light of parents’ (and kids’) heightened propensity to use social media to protest or affirm disciplinary action, it’s clear discussions about the fine line between discipline and abuse are still quite relevant and necessary.

In this instance, Knight is responding to a report of an incident caught on video in which Janet tries to take Paris’ cell phone to curtail her tweeting and allegedly slaps her and calls the girl a “spoiled little b—-,” to which Paris responds, “This is our house, not the Jackson family house. Get the f–k out.” Knight’s comments about who should be directing whom here are warranted. If this is, in fact, what was said, both Paris and Janet were out of line and Paris, in particular, probably shouldn’t be ordering her older relatives off the grounds.Here’s where Mama Gladys went off the rails. She implies that Paris can’t question her aunt’s actions, regardless of how unfair they may be (and leaving kids to wonder after the whereabouts of their grandmother/legal guardian for nine days is generally considered unfair) or challenge her aunt’s authority, simply because she’s a child and Janet’s an adult. Adults can be wrong. Relatives can be wrong. And in the absence of an adult/guardian willing to speak for them, children should be able to advocate for themselves.
Second, there’s the whole “she wouldn’t have any teeth” thing. When elders or “Southerners” (since Knight attributes this to regional attitudes and so does “The Talk” co-host Sheryl Underwood) use abusive language like “knock you into next week,” “slap the black off you,” and “kick your teeth in,” we’re all supposed to chuckle and quip about how Big Mama don’t play, because we know she doesn’t mean it literally and these are just scarier euphemisms for spanking. Regardless of where you stand on corporal punishment, it’s never a good idea to threaten a child with bodily harm as a way of keeping them in line.
Children don’t always understand hyperbole; they take the graphic violent threats seriously. They take it seriously because you’ve voiced it. Because you’ve voiced it, they think you’re capable of it. And if you, the incontestable adult, is capable of it, it must be behavior that’s acceptable to emulate.

In short: Threats may beget fear and fear may beget decent behavior (or silence), but they also create a culture of deep distrust. They also normalize abusive language and behavior in ways that are more damaging in the long-term than a rational, if heated, conversation is in the moment.

Of course, there are plenty of folk who’ll say, “It ain’t that deep.” But for the child whose parent is always talking about dottin’ his eye or beatin’ some sense into him, it’s deeper. And for Paris Jackson, whose father knew Gladys Knight when he was just a boy likely receiving those same kinds of threats at home, it’s an ironic, insensitive way for history to repeat itself.

I don't know quite what to make of all this Jackson family drama, do you?

A week ago several family members filed papers charging that the executors of Michael's estate forged his signature on his will.

Saturday, Jackson matriarch Katherine Jackson was reported missing, some said kidnapped by her own kids. She surface a day or so later, chilling with her daughter Rebbie in Arizona.

Tuesday, we all got to see video of what appeared to be what experts call an intervention. In my neck of the woods we call it a gangsta ass move.

Several family members stole their way onto Mother's property and gangsta checked Michael's kids. Auntie Janet allegedly slapped Paris Jackson and tried to snatch the cell phone that Paris was using to tweet every single thing that occurred during this chaotic week.

You know they say it takes a village, but not The Village People.

Yesterday, a judge took custody of the children away from Katherine and temporarily put them under the guidance of Tito's son, 34 year old T.J. Jackson.

Mother returned home last night and she says all of this is nonsense. I know her and I Love her, but something's going on. What was that video all about?

The Jackson's every move have always been very publicly scrutinized. In todays world of instant news and social networking, it makes it even tougher for them. I would hate to live in their fishbowl.

Because of the charges that Michael's will was forged, a lot of people are saying that this is all about money. We've all seen families go nuts over inheritance money or even simple household items, so I can only imagine the attention a billion dollars would get.

Now I'm not saying that's the case, but if it is, I sure do hope Paris tweets the video when they exhume Michael's body and go thru his pockets for loose change.

Re: Michael's mom reported missing /TJ temp Guardianship/Grandma's Home

Katherine is going to court today to get back costudy, right? Anyone know what time?

Here are some of my thoughts on all of this:

1. Maybe the kids would be better off with a neutral guardian such as Diana Ross? Her children have used Katherine before to get what they want. Just look at the way emotional blackmail was used to make Michael agree to the Victory tour. The only reason for the tour was that the brothers had run out of money. I believe Katherine is a very good and honest woman but remember she loves all of her children, even the ones who have lied to her.

2. Paris was right to tweet about all of this. She woke the world up to what was going on and let the spotlight shine on the situation.

3. I expect a child to respect their elders however this is not a normal situation. Something stinks and for Paris to stop Janet taking her phone and tell her to get out was about protecting herself, not her being a little madam and showing disrespect.
</SPAN>
4. I think that some members of the family are running out of money prompting this fiasco. For those few, all the money they made from being interviewed after Michael’s death has run out and they need a gravy train to help them live.
</SPAN>
5. I feel sorry for PPB, they need protection and loving; not to be pawns so some people can get more money. These kids do not need anymore stress.</SPAN>

Katherine Jackson 'doing well'
(UKPA) &#8211; 1 hour ago
Katherine Jackson's attorney says he has met with his client for the first time in several days and that she was doing fine despite familial squabbling that forced a judge to temporarily suspend her as guardian of her son Michael's three children.
"I had a long and productive meeting today with Mrs Jackson," Perry Sanders Jr wrote in a statement. "I am pleased to report that she is fine and she laughed at the widely publicised report that she had suffered a stroke."
The description of Mrs Jackson suffering a stroke was included in a letter signed by five of her children calling on executors of Michael Jackson's estate to step down. The letter was leaked last week.
Since Saturday when a relative reported Mrs Jackson missing, speculation has swirled about her whereabouts, her health and why she hadn't called her grandchildren for nearly 10 days. Rival factions in the family released duelling statements on Twitter and family members tussled in the driveway of her home in an incident that remains under investigation.
Sanders said he would be releasing a formal statement on Friday morning about his discussions with Mrs Jackson. He has previously said he will move to re-instate her as guardian over the late King of Pop's children, Prince, Paris, and Blanket.
On Wednesday a judge granted Tito Jackson's son TJ temporary guardianship over the children, citing concerns that Mrs Jackson was being prevented from fulfilling her role as guardian. Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff said there were no indications the 82-year-old had done anything wrong, and he would likely re-instate her upon her return.
Mrs Jackson had been at a Tucson, Arizona spa since July 15 with her daughter Rebbie and other relatives and had not spoken to her grandchildren during that time. TJ Jackson and numerous others said that was unusual and when she did call, he said she sounded "strange".

Tito's Daughter Talks Grandma Katherine, Calls Feud "a Lot of Crap"
by Alicia Quarles and Natalie Finn Thu., Jul. 26, 2012 4:36 PM PDT

Tanay Jackson speaks out in an exclusive interview! Hear her side of the ongoing custody battle and why Prince blasted his aunt Janet.
Tanay Jackson is of the opinion that if her uncle Michael Jackson had "wanted to put any of his brothers or sisters in the will, he would have."
"It sounds like a lot of crap," the singer said in an exclusive sit-down with E! News regarding the now full-fledged feud that has erupted, first over control of the late pop icon's estate and now over guardianship of Prince, Paris and Blanket.
Tanay is Tito Jackson's daughter and half-sister to T.J. Jackson, who's been given temporary custody of Michael's kids, who had been under the care of grandmother Katherine Jackson since their father died three years ago.

As for Katherine losing custody of Michael's kids while she was staying at a resort in Arizona on the advice of some of her children who thought she needed rest, Tanay says she thinks her grandma did indeed need a break and that T.J. will make a good guardian.
"He has always been that...fatherly type of personality, even as teenagers," she said of her half-brother (they have different mothers). "He's good to his own kids. He always wanted to be a father."
Tanay, whose new single, "Spotlight," is available on iTunes, says she doesn't believe that her aunts and uncles weren't letting Katherine call her grandkids while she was away, saying the 82-year-old family matriarch "is a grown woman and has her own mind."
Katherine Jackson speaks for first time since ending up in the lost & found
She says she spoke to her grandfather, Joe Jackson, and "he said [Katherine] is all right" and that "the media blew [the situation] out of proportion." Tanay said Joe is waiting for the hubbub to "die down" before he talks to the press.
Katherine, who is now back in Los Angeles, issued a statement yesterday from Arizona announcing that she is fine and that the idea that any of her children kidnapped her was just "stupid." But, she also said she was "devastated" to find out T.J. had taken custody of Prince, Paris and Blanket away from her.
"Me, personally, I don't think she should continue watching the kids," Tanay told E! News. "I just feel like she needs to rest. I feel like she does not need to be under the stress of the whole situation."

In a letter demanding that the current executors of Michael's estate resign, Randy, Jermaine, Rebbie and Janet Jackson charged that Katherine was being unfairly burdened and her health was suffering. Tito Jackson also signed the letter but has since retracted his position on the matter.
"They are very public" and "have been for a long time," Tanay said simply when asked why the family was playing this out for everyone to see.
Paris, who had been expressing her concern for her grandmother's well-being via Twitter, excitedly tweeted today about Katherine's return. Prince, who had kept a lid on his side of story until today, tweeted that he realizes now "how misguided and how badly [his grandmother] was lied to. I'm really angry and hurt."

If Katherine wants to continue to care for her grandkids as her son Michael wished, that's great, Tanay observed. But, she added, it's "not necessarily right."
She says she hasn't spoken to T.J. about the current state of affairs yet and that it's been "a very long time" since she spoke to her grandmother, but there's a family reunion coming up this month.
Asked if she had a message for any of her aunts and uncles who might be watching her interview, Tanay said, "I hope you guys get it together...I want everybody to get along. I want everybody to be loving. Just stop, that's enough."

Paris did say it did not happen. I believe the extent of the incident between her and Janet is what we actually saw on video. Janet grabbed for her cell phone and Paris wouldn't let her take it. The slap and cursing were fabricated. The beauty of instant video is we get to see how much tabloids embellish and just out and out lie.

Re: Michael's mom reported missing /TJ temp Guardianship/Grandma's Home

Since when does Tito have a daughter??? And nice plug for the music career seriously... And LaToya thinks all the fighting gives them a bad name...promoting new products when 3 kids are in harms way is what's giving them a bad name. And half of them just being bad people in general.

Also...why are MJ's fans tweeting Karen Faye all the time?? I don't understand why anyone wants her opinion?? She clearly doesn't like Michael's fans, and always has the attitude that she's above us anyway!!

Jackson Family Feud Update: TJ Jackson to File Legal Papers Friday
27 July 2012

TJ Jackson, the temporary guardian of Michael Jackson&#8217;s three children, has a Friday deadline to file a petition for full guardianship of Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II. The filing is required by law, but it doesn&#8217;t mean he will actually seek permanent appointment.

A source close to TJ tells ABC News, &#8220;Until [Katherine] Jackson decides what she wants to do, we are doing what is necessary to stay as temporary guardian.&#8221; A judge this week suspended Katherine Jackson&#8217;s rights as guardian of the children. A hearing for full guardianship is set for August 22.

More is also being revealed about what TJ and Michael Jackson&#8217;s kids told the court when TJ, as the petitioner, applied for temporary guardianship after not hearing from Katherine Jackson, and learning she was with several of her adult children.

According to court papers, &#8221;Petitioner and the Minor Children firmly believe that outside forces were prohibiting their grandmother from communicating with them. The failure to touch base with Petitioner or any of the Minor Children is way out of character for their grandmother. Petitioner is certain that his grandmother would never voluntarily cease communications with the Minor Children, or himself, and he is very concerned about her well-being.&#8221;

In other Jackson family feud news, Tanay Jackson, TJ&#8217;s half-sister, tells E!News she doesn&#8217;t think her 82-year-old grandmother should be guardian of the children anymore. &#8220;Me, personally, I don&#8217;t think she should continue watching the kids. I just feel like she needs to rest. I feel like she does not need to be under the stress of the whole situation,&#8221; Tanay said.

Meanwhile, Trent Jackson, Katherine Jackson&#8217;s nephew and confidant who reported her missing, is a bit upset with the family matriarch, but furious at the Jackson siblings who took her to Arizona.

Discussing Katherine&#8217;s absence, Trent Jackson tells ABC News, &#8220;You can&#8217;t just leave for 10 days and not have an excuse where you been.&#8221; Trent says it was &#8220;improper&#8221; for her to be gone for 10 days and not call the grandkids. Still, he blames the Jackson siblings, saying, &#8220;If they cared they never would have put her in a position like that.&#8221;

Trent reveals to ABC News that the room the Jackson siblings put Katherine in &#8220;had no television, no phone, no communication at all.&#8221; Trent further says that Katherine &#8220;loves her Jermaine, her Janet, her Rebbie&#8221; and is &#8220;gonna put them above us,&#8221; and that Katherine &#8220;has been bamboozled&#8221; and &#8220;needs to listen to the voice of reason&#8221; and &#8220;do the right thing.&#8221;

When asked about the physical confrontation at Katherine Jackson&#8217;s Calabasas, California, home earlier this week, Trent said he never expected that to happen. Regarding the recent actions of the Jackson siblings, Trent tells ABC News that Prince told him they have been &#8220;planning this since [his] dad died.&#8221;:bugeyed
