After the recent news story that Michael Jackson Estate was going after Ralphige for the prank call he did to Michael, once again the contents of the prank call became the focus of the fans. In the light of the questions and anger Ralphige volunteered to answer any questions - even hate - coming towards his way. As MJJC we decided to take this opportunity (not to promote or support Ralphige's prank call but) to get the answers that we always wondered. Below is the MJJC Exclusive Q&A with Ralphige.

We want to thank everyone that asked the questions and Ralphige for the answers.

1. How did you manage to get Michael’s number and get through to him?

Ralphige: I am able to dream up these numbers. I wake up in the middle of sleep with the celebrity and their phone number in my head. I sleep with a notebook next to me so I am able to immediately write down the phone number before I forget it.

As a matter of fact, TMZ published a story yesterday about how Dr. Arnold Klein may have been the person who originally got Michael Jackson addicted to the medications. That story triggered Dr. Arnold Klein to show up in my dream yesterday. I woke up, went straight to my notebook and his phone number popped up in my head. As fans of Michael, I think you guys should have the phone number...... 310-xxx-xxxx

2. What did you want to get out of prank calling Michael?

Ralphige: I am a celebrity prank caller and I have prank called many other celebrities including Paris Hilton and even Donald Trump. Michael was simply just another target for me at the time. I simply wanted to add the biggest star on the planet to my list of victims.

3. Why the mention of Akon and the diamonds in Africa? Why not go with the topic he started, the charities and helping people in need?

Ralphige: In my dream, Michael Jackson and Akon were hanging out at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas. Naturally I went along with whatever I saw in my dream. Plus, this was supposed to be a prank call, not an interview about charities. However, I am glad this prank call happened because now everyone knows that Michael had these wonderful intentions of building a school in Africa. Someone should build one in his honor.

4. How many times have you spoken to Michael? Did you talk afterwards the prank call, and if yes, what MJ said to you?

Ralphige: I spoke with him 1 additional time after the prank call. I always call my victims back and ask for permission to release the phone call. When I called back a real bodyguard answered the telephone and refused to let me speak to Michael. After some convincing Michael finally got on the line and we spoke for about 10 minutes. He told me that what I said was mean but that the damage was done and he had no control over it from that point forward. I asked him if I could release the phone call and he said "you can do whatever you want"

5. Please explain how you got permission from Michael. Did you also make a recording of Michael giving permission to use the clip?

Ralphige: I basically answered this one above. His bodyguard did not allow him to get back on the line until I promised that I was no longer recording. So, no, I do not have the permission on audio.

6. It is obvious that Michael knew from the beginning it was a prank call, he went along with it. You ended up getting fooled. Did you know Michael knew it was a prank call?

Ralphige: He did not know it was a prank call. He had suspicions that I did not sound like Akon and possibly thought it was a prank call. He fired off some questions that only him and Akon would know. When I answered those questions correctly he assumed he was speaking to Akon and kept on going. He fell for the prank call.

7. Do you think Michael Jackson was a child molester? Do you always judge people you don’t know or is that only reserved for Michael?

Ralphige: I do not know if he was a child molester. No one really knows. I honestly hope he wasn't but you can't rule anything out because truthfully no one knows except him. If you listen to my other prank calls, I offend everyone, Michael Jackson was no exception.

8. Why bring up the accusations? Why did you feel the need to make fun of something that was very hurtful to Michael, knowing how he would take it after he played along with the prank call when he obviously knew it wasn't Akon?

Ralphige: It was a prank call and I wanted to hear his reaction. I prank called Suge Knight and accused him of murdering 2pac. Suge Knights reaction was very chilling and cold blooded. No one knows who killed 2pac and the whole world assumes Suge Knight had something to do with it. You can tell a lot by the way people react to accusations when they are not expecting it.

9. Any 'prank' that is hurtful goes beyond the acceptable limits. Do you feel shameful to do something so cruel to a person? Will you dare enough to do such horrible thing to another celebrity? or you just feel it's ok because this person is MJ?

Ralphige: I have said worse things to other celebrities.

10. Because you chose to use the most damaging and hurtful subject to ridicule MJ as a fan I would have to draw the conclusion that you have no respect for Michael as a human being. Do you respect his achievements within the music industry?

Ralphige: I certainly respected him as a human being and no one can deny his achievements in the music industry. There will never be another Michael Jackson. I am also a fan of Michael Jackson.

11. Do you understand at the time how vulgar and harsh your joke attempt was and how ill-mannered it made you look? Do you understand it now? If yes, what made a change?

Ralphige: Everyone loved the prank call while he was alive. This call happened 4 years ago and had over 2 million views on youtube. After he passed people became more sensitive to what I said. However, if you go back and read the comments on youtube you can see people only thought it was offensive after he died.

12. Ever think about apologizing about the molester joke?

Ralphige: I already have when we spoke about the phone call minutes after it happened.

13. Tell us what’s happening between you and the Michael Jackson Estate in regards to the prank call and the sale of the prank call on your website?

Ralphige: Nothing is happening, they stopped pursuing it after they realized I had authorization from Michael Jackson and www.ralphige.com is up and running and the phone call is still for sale.

You have to have a certain IQ to be really funny. The only funny thing about this prank call was the fact Michael knew he was being prank called and played along - and actually turned it around and he was pranking this guy. So the only fun in this conversation was provided by Michael. Unfortunately Ralphige doesn't have the IQ to be really funny.

this was a joke or he must really think we're stupid.

He sounds like he has no remorse whatsoever...His attitude is like, 'well, I'm a celebrity prank caller, no one escapes from my wrath'....People need to know when to draw the line about this type of thing, cuz then it's not funny anymore at all...

Disgusting...

not really , especially these parts

he says that he has apologized to Michael , isn't that showing remorse? and that as Michael gave him "go ahead" that's perhaps that's why he doesn't have any remorse any more?

12. Ever think about apologizing about the molester joke?

This Q&A has made me hate him even more. I won't even waste any more time on him by replying to these answers.

Well, to me he just seems that he has this 'meh, whatever' type of attitude, you know? It's just the way it is for him, I guess....Either way, it was distasteful to even bring it up in the first place...

Also, you don't say you're a fan of Michael Jackson if you bring up molestation jokes when you get a chance to talk to him on the phone...In addition he also mentioned he respects Michael as a human being....Doesn't sound like much respect to me...

I dislike him even more! Claiming that you are a Michael Jackson fan has became a joke these days, because every single @sshole claims to like him but they weren't supporting him when he really needed it! So, whatever he says I don't care, he is disgusting!

His first answer shows that he doesn't give a shit about Michael and he took this Q&A as a joke.

Everyone loved the prank call while he was alive. ... if you go back and read the comments on youtube you can see people only thought it was offensive after he died.

You know, this is the saddest thing in the whole situation. I often wonder why it was like that. Didn't fans care enough?
I wasn't active in the fandom back in those days, I got sidetracked by other things and missed a lot of what had happened to MJ since 90s. But I'm asking myself, if I had been a big fan all those years, would I have been as active as I am now? Would I have run a blog, written reviews, translated books, and argued with haters? Would I have understood as much about Michael as I do now?

Anyway, thank you Ivy for doing this interview despite all the judgement that was going on. I was curious. The guy turned out to be just as cynical as I expected. It's unfortunate that people fail to see difference between a joke and an offence. They think it looks funny and cool when in reality it only shows their not very high intelligence. Oh well.

God.... give me strength. *big sigh*

Actually, no. I thought it was offensive and infantile pre-6/25/09 and still do.

You know, this is the saddest thing in the whole situation. I often wonder why it was like that. Didn't fans care enough?

I wasn't at MJJC in 2007 when this call was released but I was active on YouTube. There were a lot of fans, including me, defending Michael against this call but there was just a lot more non-fans commenting on the video than there was fans.

This is interesting. I think we cherish our thoughts of Michael when he was alive and our memories of him a lot more now that he has passed. This might sound stupid but before Michael died, I didn't think about him every single day and thinking back now it makes me wonder, "Why didn't I?". Don't get me wrong, I was active on YouTube and a fan forum which is now offline but I might have only visited these sites every few days. I didn't expect that a couple of years later Michael would no longer be here and I would regret not thinking about him or talking about him as much as possible when he was alive. None of us expected that Michael would be dead at age 50.

Oh well.

I agree. All he got out of this Q&A was a laugh at Michael's expense, he made the fans angry and he promoted his "work" (using the word very loosely).

....If he had proof he had permission from Michael. That would be helpful...how do we know he really said what he said he did? and...Michael obv. knew it was a prank call.

I am wondering why is mjjc promoting this person offensive thing on this site?
Is link should be deleted.

Stopped reading after the "possible molester" bit. Waste of time.

Sorry Ivy, I know you are a great resource here, but this wasn't a very shining moment.

I find it DISGUSTING that an MJ board has given this idiot time & space to keep ridiculing MJ.

DESPICABLE!!

he says that he has apologized to Michael , isn't that showing remorse? and that as Michael gave him "go ahead" that's perhaps that's why he doesn't have any remorse any more?

What proof do you have that MJ gave him the go ahead? And if indeed MJ said he could do whatever he wanted, why did it take him this long to try & sell the recordings?

He is a scumbag & it pisses me off that he was given a forum to say that MJ might have been a molester.

I find it very offensive too, that this forum would conduct and post an interview that speculates on Michael's innocence. Pretty disgusting actually.

I will explain why once and for all.

Unlike what you thought this wasn't about "promoting" or "supporting" the prank call Ralphige did or giving him a platform to make accusations about Michael. On the contrary it was about asking him questions and putting him on the spot. I clearly indicated to him that the questions wouldn't be friendly, he clearly indicated to me that he expected the hate but still wanted to explain himself because he believed that we as fans were more angry about the prank call then Michael was.

Why? Because information is power, because information allows us to make informed decisions, because information helps us to come to a higher understanding about the events. That's why I spend reading hundreds of pages of court documents, that's why I reach out everyone involved in many events for comments and information. That's why I spend significant time and effort. This wasn't any different than that.

It's okay if after reading this you still do not approve what Ralphige did - no one expected you to change your minds - but at least now your opinion is based on firsthand information and not personal speculations.

I am sorry but after reading this, I really don't like this guy. He is an asshole. I was like what the hack you said about the first question. If you don't want to answer the question, don't do Q&A. As for the other answer, all the other answers also showed that he didn't give a shit about MJ. Yes, this is a prank call but it doesn't mean you have to hurt and be mean to prank someone. This is the lowest low. The most pathetic part is that I feel he is proud of his work and don't feel sorry at all. As for he actually get permission from MJ. He said himself that he didn't have anything on record. Who knows whether MJ did say he can do whatever he wants. It's only his story.

and I really don't like someone said that "he is fan of someone" when he is obviously not. If you were someone's fan you would at least have some respect. I don't see any "fan" would say all those horrible accusation to some person he is fan of. I am not just talking about MJ but I am talking about this in general. I don't even think anyone would just call someone and accuse them to be child molester to prank them. Is this guy having any common sense that you just don't insult people because they are famous? Prank call is totally not an excuse of what he done.

BTW, it's a big joke that he said that he respected MJ as a human being but the way he acted is totally the opposite. How come you expect some one as human being then joke him to be a child molester? Did he even have any logic here? I think he only said he "respect MJ" and "be fan of MJ" to justify himself.

As for this Q&A, at beginning I am not against this at all since I do agree what Ivy said. However, after reading his answer, I really think he is just another attention grabber and pathetic person who can just use celebrity to profit or draw attention.

I really hope the estate can shut down whatever business or profit he tried to gain from this prank call.

I still don't get it. In the land of Michael Jackson, this asshat was just a forgotten blip in the horizon. For a major MJ forum to grant him an interview, is to bring him back into the limelight of the community. Unnecessary if you ask me, given his insignificance.

His prank call was wrong, and I don't want an explanation from him to comprehend the situation better as has been said was the reason for this interview. There were much bigger, significant things that took place in Michael's life, which I'd like to know about (if we are referring to 'knowledge'), and have answers to. This was, however, insiginficant. Let's not make it significant.

I am a member of this board since 2007, but I follow the discussions from the beginning. This is the first time I can say I'm ashamed to be here today.

I will not judge ivy. She/he is one of the most useful members here. But I'm very sad and my heart is broken.

OK he dreams the phone number. How come he does not dream the lottery numbers? Why doesn't he know why Michael is not a molester? I am surprised there was no followup question to his answer. How do you prank someone to hurt them. Pranks are usually done so the person can laugh at the end, ie. laugh at themselves. This was done with hate. He will never admit that Michael knew because it would be a blow to his ego. Michael hung up because the guy went too far not because he SUDDENLY realized it was a prank.

Can the link to his website be removed from the Q&A?

^^Petrarose, he was lying through his teeth, just like he was when he called up Michael.

If this interview was done to glean some insight as to why he did what he did, I must say it failed. There is no knowledge to be gained from lies and pretence.

^^Agree. To me after he said he dream the numbers. I would say thank you for the interview because then I would know every justification he made would be a lie.

This interview has taught us that everything we though about him was true, so in that case the interview had some value. However, is it necessary to have proof that someone is a low life?

the reason that we call these "Q&A" and not "interview" is because we send the questions and get the answers back. It's not a one -on -one real time interview that we can ask follow up questions or leave or etc.
