You mean the audio glitching a bit early? It's still present in English and the original 1988 German audio so I'm guessing it's actually even part of the original audio mix which was later fixed. The 2010 German audio track doesn't thave this glitch

Thats mental. It wasnt in any VHS or DVD I owned.

I could imagine this glitch was present on the original 35mm, where the audio of both the English and Original German audio is from. I guess they fixed it on it's home media release. The re-recorded German audio track from 2010 doesn't have this glitch, which could further indicate it was fixed originally as they were created from the same sources and remains in Stereo.
 
I hope Warner Bros. or Criterion releases a 4K restoration of the movie, wanting to profit from the biopic momentum
