Does anyone know if Murray is also being charged for not keeping proper medical records on MJ? Would that be a crime or would that be punishable by the medical board only? I would think admininstering anesthesia and loads of sedatives such as lorazpam would need to be documented somewhere right?

See, one of the problems is that this all happened in a home setting by a private physician, giving non standard care and all very much 'under the table', if you will. There are definite standards for medical record keeping but the medical care is given either in a hospital, a clinic, office setting or if given at home there is some sort of professional agency involved. In other words, there's nothing shady going on. Yes, doctors certainly should keep records and must. BUT what murray was doing was not your usual medical care and I'll bet the last thing he would want would be the possibility of a paper trail to incriminate him if something were to go wrong. Which it did.
Of course, it IS entirely possible that he did keep some sort of record but removed said records when he was supposed to be resuscitating Michael. He could have been jotting down notes on a small pad as to what he gave and when, something like that would be easy for him to put in his pocket.
If he did any blood work on Michael, there would be records in some lab somewhere but to find them? And if murray used a fictitious name? Impossible.
If he did an EKG, used a portable machine, he would have the results in his hands.
So if you're thinking that there might be records of what he did to Michael somewhere, even if there were, I suspect they are long gone by now.
I doubt he kept anything that will ever see the light of day.
As for it being a crime to not keep records, I don't think it would be a criminal offense, more of a malpractice issue.

If there's no Medical Records on MJ in Murray's care,Then something is very wrong here and The charges should be changed to 1st-2nd degree murder. Doctors always here Medical Records on their patients.

I totally agree.. No records show guilt to me.. Murray had no clue what he was giving MJ. He even told the er doctor, that he did not keep track of time. When you are giving dangerous meds like he was time is very important.

Thanks .I meant have instead of here. This case makes me so mad I'm doing spelling mistakes......

murray gave a detailed list of what he gave and when after he hired a lawyer and then met with the police. the obvious contridiction to what he told the medics and drs will be pointed out

let's hope so.. The contradiction is mind boggling. It shows the man was lying. I think his defense attorneys will try their best to ignore that interview with the police. I remember Chernoff and company were saying that Murray never said such & such, but if the interview was recorded, which it seems to be, we will hear the lies and contradictions

And just how valid does anyone think medical records would be? I mean, think about it for a minute.

Thought about it? Okay. A. no one believes murray was/is telling the truth. B. murray has been proven to be a liar. C. if he would produce any records, why would anyone believe them to be true? Why believe 'records' when the words from his mouth are lies? Why would something in writing be more truthful?
The only 'records' I might believe would be from some outside independent agency. Anything from murray is tainted.

exactly the truth...WHO in their right mind would believe Murray even if he did have medial records for Michael??...no one I know thats for sure.

He knew he was in deep ish. For 2 days he had time to figure things out, he also was not under the stress of the situation. So he had time to think about what he (supposedly) gave and when. His lawyers might try and say that murray was so rattled, he 'forgot' to tell the hospital about the other meds. That it was just an oversight. (HA!) After all he had just seen his patient and 'friend' succumb for some unknown reason (another big HA!) and was rattled. Or some other baloney, anything to try and make him look half way sympathetic.
If he had been giving legitimate, standard of care medicine, he would certainly have kept records. But he was not. practicing. accepted. medicine. So I don't think record keeping was on his list of top 10 things to do.
No records might be a sign of guilt or maybe incredible carelessness and arrogance. Or maybe all three.

You're right, he's a sociopathic liar; whether by mouth or pen, he is incapable of telling the truth! And now he'll do his damned best to see Michael gets 100% blame for all his incompetency and neglect - ugh!

Hopefully the judge won't allow that

True and the fact that he didn't keep any should make the jury question him.. you tie that in with hiding bottles and lying to the ER doctor and EMTs and you have a man guilty as hell
