new Teddy Riley book

From Vibe :

“To understand Riley’s impact, you have to meticulously connect the dots to a long list of producers and artists who have worshipped at the altar of the genius one-man-band. Without the Guy and Blackstreet leader’s blueprint, there would be no Mary J. Blige, Jermaine Dupri, Jodeci, Usher, Timbaland, Missy Elliott, Dru Hill, the Neptunes, Chris Brown, The-Dream, or Bruno Mars. He was merging rap and soul before Roddy Ricch was literally conceived.” —Vibe

oh , I'm so glad to see this. I'm very, very pro- Riley and always have been. thanks for posting this @Hot_Street

Note also that Quincy Jones wanted Teddy Riley to work with him on the 'BAD' album.

But Gene Griffin (Teddy Riley's manager at that time) did not allow that to happen.

It would be interesting if Teddy Riley (in his new book) sheds more light on that.

That's kind of surprising given the timeline. Riley wasn't that well known until he worked on Keith Sweat's debut album in 1987.

The way I see this is, Michael and he created Dangerous in 1991 it was released , and that's my album, I'm team teddy and appreciate this musical genius . (and I also loved the NJS 'era' ....not rnb ,none of that - it was rap and NJS for me...So, it was through teddy's sound to why I became a michael jackson supporter. ♥️ I was (kinda..sorta) a Bobby Brown fan at first ....(kinda everyone at school was...)
But this artist (with Teddy ) couldn't personally hold my attention for long. Although i live by this song and I believe m liked it too! well we know that little story don't we?
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
It was when m touched NJS...with those messages and statements, I was his forever fan then and never looked back.)
So glad that the musical genius Teddy is telling his story. It is a great thread. genius thread.
*camps out on it*

Maybe he was too... young? How old is Teddy anyway? I thought, he was in his twenties during Dangerous sessions....
