Nintendo Switch 2

The rumored July 2025 Nintendo Direct has been made official, with the announcement just coming in now – though it’s confirmed that the event will only be a Partner Showcase. Fans can tune in starting tomorrow at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe.

Nintendo says that the Direct will be about 25 minutes long. It will cover upcoming third-party games for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. Since this is a Partner Showcase, don’t expect to hear much (if anything) for titles published by the Big N.

I'm excited to see what third party games will be coming. Maybe there'll even be an exclusive announced.

Well that Direct was kinda lame. There was some cool stuff in there but not at all what most people were expecting I'd say. Also it's kinda hilarious to me that there are new games coming out that don't have Switch 2 enhanced versions. Nintendo should have really sorted this out and made sure that didn't happen.

Looks pretty sweet. I wonder what else there is still to reveal about the game. Sakurai said that there'll be more revealed soon at the end of the direct.

Been playing the Kirby and the Forgotten Land remaster that came out the other day. Super fun game that I totally overlooked on Switch 1. The visual and frame rate upgrades are pretty cool as well.

Very excited for this. Never played the original and I heard it had a lot of issues they seem to be fixing with this release. Loved Banjo Kazooie so hopefully they are able to bring it up to that standard.
If you have liked Banjoo, then you'll love Yooka Laylee. It has some great dialogues.

As for the issues, yes it has few, but I think those will be fixed in the remaster. After all, the original Yooka Laylee was the first game Playtonic ever developed & published.

Also glad to see they're releasing the full game on a Switch2 card - and not just using a imo useless gamekey-card that most 3rds offer for their retail games.

I've been playing The Impossible Lair and it's rather good, so I'm looking forward to playing the original.
