Today reiko_nishiyama contacted me and told me story which makes me concerned a lot.
Our member mjmax is in serious problems. Some of you might have noticed him doing great contributions to 2000 watts.
He went to Uruguay some time ago and now someone stole his money and passport and he doesn't know what to do. Reiko asked me to help find some fans in Uruguay that could maybe help him somehow.
Maybe we could try to help him somehow by calling out fans here that live in Uruguay? I'm sure there must be members from that country.

What do you think? I'm really concerned because he is my friend also and we used to talk a lot till he disappeared somewhere while ago.

edit: heres latest from chat. so he doesnt want public attention at all. it could be scam, but I think thats unlikely. i feel he just needs to get to his countries embassy by any means to get any help.

I do. But theoretically it could be as you say as well. I'm not sure. Looks real enough for me and I trust him personally. Maybe you can try to look up his IP from last time he logged in and check if it's Uruguay (dunno if it's possible.)
He was originally from France and then he lived in Germany btw.

Yes, it could be scam. But I refuse to believe it in this case. I posted here cause I didn't know what else to do other than informing others. Sorry if I was wrong. I'm just trying to help.

why doesnt he not want public attention to help him ? ( most would want help any way they can get it )

why not contact someone he knows in real life like his family or real friends?? (why a sweet frail vunerable girl)
why not give her a real family email or phone # so she cant contact them for him ? (thats what you would do )

About money I've no idea. She just wanted him to help get away from that country. But he doesn't have passport so.. He basically doesn't have anything as I understood. He just gets to free internet somehow for very limited time.
As far as goes my understanding he should get to his countries embassy. That's the closest help he could get I think.

- I suppose cause Reiko is closest to him in internet which he talks to a lot and trusts. And as far as I understand, he never asked for money. Reiko said to me she wanted to help him and send money. I suppose there was no word about him asking money. And I think he has contacted only to Reiko.

He has replied to me _if this is real - Im very concerned - This is scary .. I have sent him a link for the french embassy -
I am going to create a hot mail account for him so can log in and contact the embassy or his own family or real contact from his home to help him .

I will offer to get his ID and pasport info if he gives me aceess- I can make a image JPG for him to use to send to embassy or to have them or police print out for him. He wants to find a contact in Uraguay but .. as staff I dont think we cant put a member in that situation. We can place them in danger or have it fall back on us. there may e faster easier ways for him to get help. That he is not goign to the embassy makes this more supicious - Im asking him more questions, becuase his reply gave us no imformation for us to actually help him. I told him I need more details .. he also need to help by providing all the info he can.

Im not sure what to do ..

I have really few time on internet, so I'll answer very briefly.. sorry. I'm blocked in Uruguay with no passport. I asked her if she could search for fans leaving there and who could help me. She's the only one I really trust to help me.. so please don't cut our conversations. And please, do everything with her.. because I don't have enough time on internet to deal with several persons. She is a very honest person and you can trust her completly like I do. but like you said a citizen can not help him. and if he is in the trouble he says we cant send someone
into that .. he need to go to the Embassy or contact them and tell them where he is ..

he may be backing off now becuase I became involved .. becuase he told Reiko he couldnt contact her now.
she said he probably doesnt want her to worry .. Ive waarned her this may be a scam but we will pray for him

If you give me information or access to a way I can get a copy of your ID / passport. I will be glad to help you

I cant read the frech Embassy site but USA Embassy says go to local police and report you ID and passport have been Stolen. Then go to the embassy with the report .. and they can help you with shelter contacting your family and getting your Passport. They are the only ones who can help you.

I think that's really all that could've been done from our side.
But I can't get it why he contacts someone from MJJC instead of his relatives, people in France. Maybe he has no family and he's all alone in world. And he demands too much security for some reason. That makes it more suspicious. Though knowing him, I don't think he's the guy who could do scam, but who knows.. Sometimes you don't even know your closest people.

thank you very much for trying to help. The only thing I need is someone who can offer a place to sleep and internet around montevideo until I can leave the country. MJ fans are like a family and I thought some could help. Please see everything with Reiko. I have very limited time on internet.. she'll gather all the useful informations for me. I agree Gaz there isnt really anything else we can do .. He has been given the resources to help himself.
I will just be there to support Reikeo , to help support her through this. I more or less sent the same to Max
but told him Reiko will keep me updated on his situatuion and that I am praying for his safe return home.

I did search the data base and came up with nothing as far as members go.
Only 10 members from Uruguay and none are active on the board either under age spammers or banned

Thats all I am allowed or can do from this end.
Max makes this seem more complicated or than just losing ID and Passport. The fact he isnt going to the French Embassy is very disturbing to me Im sure he has his reasons. I am not judging at all. I just hope he uses the resources he has been given to get help and shelter .

Please encouage Max to contact his family or people he knows with email account and go to French Embassy. He doesn't need ID or pasport to do that. he can report it lost or stolen - Maybe they can help him find shelter untill he can leave.

I will continue to pray for him .. Im so sad he is in this situation. Please keep me updated
