Rest In Peace Lisa Marie — David Bowie

More sad news with the passing of Lisa Marie Presley who suffered cardiac arrest yesterday. (12th Jan) The daughter of Elvis and Priscilla was just 54 and had been seen in public with her mother only two days earlier on 10th Jan at the 80th Golden Globe Awards. She is pictured here with David and

I read today that Lisa's first live performance - promoting her first album - was on Good Morning America and her second (don't know where) was in front of 65,000 people. Apparently, David Bowie saw her do a show in New York and advised her to do smaller shows instead. He said:

" ... pull the reins in, do small clubs and don't let it break your heart ..."

It's a shame she never got the chance to really develop herself as an artist.

I actually came here to post this! Just read it and it's nice to see an article that talks about them without mentioning the allegations. It solely focuses on their relationship and this video. It makes me happy to see. As much as that video isn't a favorite of mine, I do love that it came from a place of intimacy for these two. It captured a time when they were both happy, which is more important than ever.
