yeah, long time ago, but note that tour question? I sincerely believe he will never tour the U.S. again....
 
...MJ was still reeling from '93 plus this was in '95 when American tabloid press were blasting and mocking his marriage to Lisa Marie. But that was such a long time ago I think MJ got over his negative feelings about America cause in 2003 (before the raid) he was any and everywhere in America. I just think MJ felt more betrayed by America in 1993 than in 2003 but who knows. If he ever tours again, I think he'll do smaller venues like arenas in a few major cities and have the bulk of his tour in stadiums worldwide.

He said in later interviews that the press in the UK is even harder on him, which i agree. So i don't think any of it had to do with the press itself. Martin Bashir was from the UK too :p

But at the time the first accusations or whatever had just ended and he wasnt as popular as he should've been due to them, so i think maybe they thought the concerts and whatnot wouldn't sell as good as they should so he probably just didn't want to take the chance.

I don't know why the USA can sometimes be a hard market. look at akon and the other lamers. they sell pretty well here which is weird.
