Lol that’s excessive. A destiny tour release would be epic
I expect the bare minimum which is a few home demos and some interviews

1.Thriller/Ghosts remastered on Bluray
2.Dangerous/History docs
3.HD/HQ Concert release (Bad, Victory, or Destiny etc)
4.Any complete songs left for an album.

- New music. Self-explanatory.

- 4K versions of Ghosts and Thriller on a streaming service. Blu-Ray releases are unnecessary, given that there’s around 45 minutes of content between the two of them. Streaming is the best way to ensure they reach the widest possible audience, in the highest possible quality.

- New music. Even half-finished demos.

- Unreleased This Is It rehearsals. Whether or not MJ was present, I’d love to see how the other numbers were taking shape (especially “Dangerous”).

- New music. Please.

- No more anniversary reissues, unless they’re on par with or exceed Bad 25 in terms of new content and quality packaging. I’m not buying Thriller for the umpteenth time if all it has is one new song and five remixes. (I’m looking directly at you, Thriller 25.)

- JUST GIVE US NEW MUSIC. PLEASE.

I just want more concerts and short films in HD.

This is my release idea of Michael Jackson releases (for The Estate)

2022: MJ Musicial: Soundtrack 2CD
2024: Thriller DVD/Blu-ray/3D/4K 16:9 (Thriller + Making Michael Jackson's Thriller in HD/4K)
2026: Ghosts DVD/Blu-ray/3D/4K 16:9 (Ghosts + Making of Ghosts in HD/4K)
2029: Destiny Tour - Live In Inglewood (December 18, 1979) DVD/Blu-Ray
I would like to have it in 4:3 aspect ratio. We are used to see it like that and we see more of the picture.

The Estate already made it clear that they cannot remaster and release many of the singer's music videos/short films due to missing masters.

They also made it clear that they are not going to release new music in the form of half-finished demos because they are not profitable for them products.

@Lord Szechenyi, it is clearly misspelled.

The correct title is 'Got To Find A Way Somehow', and this unreleased song was written by Michael Jackson for his 'Off The Wall' album.

This song appears to be lost.

It’s not lost (whatever that means). The US Copyright Office has a cassette tape of it. No idea if the Estate has the multitracks. But anyone with some money and the ability to travel to Washington DC can listen to it.

Actually a few shots were filmed in 16:9 (as you can see in Moonwalker or Thriller 3D) and the 16:9 edit looks amazing (only saw 10 min of camera recording). There are also young fans who dont like watching 4:3 videos but I can understand you. Maybe they should release the 16:9 edit and 4:3 version in HD.

The thing is that we know that Thriller, Captain EO, Moonwalker, HIStory Teaser, nearly the complete Bad era was shot on 35mm film (as you can see in Moonwalker or BAD 25). So there isnt a real problem of remastering that stuff. Videos which arent shot on film could be remastered with an upscaling programm (as you can see in The Beatles: Get Back). If they make two editions with an 2CD with the album and finished unreleased tracks and another one with everything else, I think that it would be profitable for them, us, new fans and people who dont know MJs music and want to listen to it for the first time.

With DVD/Blu-ray I also mean digital of course. In my opinion digital streaming is a good way of watching movies but there arent in full quality like an dolby atmos sound. If you compare an atmos sound from a blu-ray to a atmos sound which was streamed via Prime Video, Disney+ or Netflix you can see that the quality is not so good as the blu-ray version.
I actually forgot to add This Is It to it :)

Actually 16:9 could be the original apect ratio because it was shown in movie theaters in 1983. They probably used that version. Would be great to have both. 4:3 version has more picture on top and bottom.

How did you get this internal estate document?

I’m going soon!!! I’m gathering all the registration numbers now so I can request everything I can find on the website.

2028: a release of the long anticipated chalk with MJs logo on it

I was thinking of NFTs. First of a piece of chalk NFT, and for real collectors, one with a glowing piece of chalk. And you can import it in various metaverses to show everyone that you like MJ.
Then, a complete series of generated monkey face NTFs based on Bubble's head.

Those are very unrealistic expectations. The Estate gives so much and all you want is more more more 😇

To be honest, I, personally, would love to hear the 1978 demo of Little Susie or the 1983 demo of Dirty Diana. Just imagine that🤩

If a song is registered at the US copyright office does it mean that the song in question is fully completed? If yes, how many MJ songs are registered and what are the titles?

Unfortunately, no. You could register anything with the US Copyright Office — a basic melody, lyrics, a drum pattern, etc. There are several MJ songs that are known to be unfinished that were still registered.

There are a few dozen registered titles. Off the top of my head I remember:
  • “11pm”
  • “Adore You”
  • “Bang Your Head”
  • “Broken Chair”
  • “Children’s Hour”
  • “D.I.E.”
  • “Don’t Make Me Stay”
  • “For the World”
  • “Got to Find a Way Somehow”
  • “Green Hornet Groove”
  • “Holiday Inn”
  • “I Love You More”
  • “Just Remember”
  • “King Tutankhamen”
  • “Lady of Summer”
  • “Light the Way”
  • “Michael’s Affirmation”
  • “Neverland Landing”
  • “Pajamas”
  • “Pray for Peace”
  • “Rocker”
  • “Shut Up and Dance”
  • “Silent Spring”
  • “Somewhere in Time”
  • “Stand Tall”
  • “Thank Heaven”
  • “That”
  • “Under Your Skin”
  • “Water”
  • “What You Do to Me” (1)
  • “What You Do to Me” (2)
  • “Why Can’t I Be”

It's odd how we haven't heard of many MJ fans who have attended the US Copyright Office in order to listen to all of these unheard songs, demos, melodies, etc.

If I lived in the US, I'd go to that place in a heartbeat. Sure it probably costs a bit, but everyone can save up a little bit in a period of time

- Significant TII anniversaries include 2024 , 2029 and 2034 , which will be the 15th , 20th and 25th anniversaries. I would suspect we could get one or more editions

2029: Destiny Tour - Live In Oakland (December 16, 1979) DVD/Blu-Ray
I actually don't know why they didn't released that in 2016. I mean we saw 10 minutes of Destiny and Triumph Tour in "Journey from Motown to Off The Wall"

I can’t wait to go and hear everything I can find. You really have to do some serious digging. I also came across the Triumph Tour footage that has been talked about here. There’s unreleased This Is It footage there as well. All these songs obviously aren’t 100 percent complete but just to hear work in progress material is exciting too. Some of these songs have multiple versions registered too. This is honestly (in my opinion) only the tip of the iceberg when he comes to Michael’s unreleased recordings. There’s still of ton of stuff with John Barnes, Bill Bottrell and Bryan Loren alone that hasn’t been registered.
