The remastered demo version sounds absolutely fantastic. Its so cool to hear it in CD quality after many years of hearing the video-tape rip from the mexico depo. One thing that suprised me was the intro. I was convinced that the intro was cut-off in the depo tape, but, on this released version the intro is the same - a short string note and then the music begins. I do believe there is a longer strings intro to the track but they cut this out before releasing it officially.
The ad-libs at the end sound great! and whats extra special is you get to hear more ad-libs in the 2008 Remix than in the demo version - which suggests even though this demo version ends at like 3.12 or whatever, there is still more music/vocals left even though it fades out. That full version will remain in MJs vault I guess ;)

The "Club Mix" is definitely worth having - its based on the main remix but is layered differently. For a start there is no glass-bottle percussion as in the 2008 remix - it has been completely removed. And there are less strings, synths and bass. Also MJ's vocals are louder too. I also love the 2nd verse when Mj almosts sings the verse in Percapella style - hardly any b/g music at all! :D

exactly, the will.i.am remix has some ad-libs of MJ that WERE ALSO RECORDED BACK IN 1982
though the demo fades out at 3:13, you still can clearly hear that MJ continues singing at the very last seconds.

I just heard the full version of the club mix. Club mix sounds a lot more better than the radio edit.. Wish they made the club mix as a radio edit instead!

well finaly ive heard the club mix..i was expected more..i though that it could be more dance..more upbeat.. more house rithm.. will did the oposite he slow down the song and the bass sounds more powerfoull...it is not bad i like it.for me the problem is the name of the remixe..it is a nice mix but not a club mix..they should give to it a deferent name..anyway i will dance with more with the original remix.
 
Woot the three track edition is now on itunes.... Its in stores on the 5th but I cant wait that long haha
 
i don't think this CD has been mastered to perfection. kinda sounds distorted and muffled in some places on the demo version.. the harmonies etc
anyone else feeling this?
 
So what are the credits on the physical single please? I cant read it on the vinyl.

Thats so DJs in clubs can lead into TGIS 08 easier with just a rhythm and then melody.
 
nope, maybe yyou will get a EP of wanna be startin somethin 2008, but i aint heard nufin
