Also it doesn't matter if either of us have seen or not seen a movie because others have not so if we would like to watch a movie that others have seen then we will all just have to watch it over again but this time with EACH OTHER!
For the record I didn't see the new Freakier Friday and it has been ages since I saw the first one so I am voting to do a FREAKY FRIDAY FUN NIGHTS ON EVERY FRIDAY OR EVERY OTHER FRIDAY if that works for you guys!
I mean it could be like us all going OUT and meeting at a night CLUB together like "BRIDESMAIDS" :LOL: :ROFLMAO:

Brainstorm: Movies/Concerts/Events Selections Submissions List
🥹I was thinking to make sure everyone gets a selection fairly is that we POST our selection for that day/week and time and theme/no theme.
Then we could see what is going to be shown and we could see a head of time what is coming up to watch together?
Like a monthly viewing calendar of these above events and then we would also have a log of what we have already watched so no repeats unless we want to of course in the next months viewing calendar!

Maybe. Once I get my drivers license and if it's like in LA or SF. But I don't want to just reduce it to CA / west coast of the US, so other major city locations across the country can have Movie Nights. But I think it'll be a fun get together for fans alike. But no night clubs / bars because two fans, to my knowledge at least, are underaged, one of them being me.

Anyways why are we talking about bars and nightclubs, I'm a bit lost to be honest. I thought this was just support to be us, a movie playing on mjjc and the chat? Thats what moonie's initial idea was when she told me at least

- I was just throwing ideas out there for everyone to give feedback on it. I thought Avatar was over 3hrs and Harry Potter has more movies in the series to watch if anyone was interested in it of course.

- You clearly did NOT read the part where this was all going to be ONLINE, soooooo not sure where you saw any invitation to a bar or to drink because this is all in the themed online event, where there maybe a lounge and a bartender/waitress and you will only be ordering and drinking shirley temples lol kidding but you do get my point here! Sorry no one invited anyone to a bar or nightclub or in person for that matter!! 👍

Phew... I finally caught up with the conversation! 😅 Thank you all so much for your interest, it's great to read your comments! Just so you know, I'm rarely home. That's why you haven't heard from me in a while... As @MJ is my life mentioned, the main idea was to get a movie or concert playing on the forum so we could all chat about it at the same time.🍿

@MJ TinkerBell, I love your energy and enthusiasm! Stay as you are 🤗 But I think that IRL meetups and such aren't an option for many fans here... At least, not for me!

I don't know how to get a video to play on the forum simultaneously for everyone, which is why I tagged Gaz, but I didn't get a response... 😅

To summarize my idea, a concert is chosen, for example: for December, the selected concert is Victory Tour Toronto (1984) at 7 PM. We log onto the forum at that time, and the video plays automatically starting at 7 PM while we chat simultaneously.

But as I mentioned in the initial post, I don't know if the forum can support this type of format... In other words, can the forum actually have a YouTube-type video that plays by itself in the "Home" tab, for example?

Btw, @Lady Annelies Applehead why is your profile picture so funny to me? 😭😂

The thread is quite confusing, so I am trying to summarise here 😂

  • @MJ TinkerBell wasn't talking about IRL meetings 🙂
  • I don't think it is possible to directly play videos here on the website, one would have to implement a player to make this possible. It's doable via Google Meet, Teams, etc., so basically one person has to share their screen, where the video is playing. There's a chat function, too
  • I suggest you make a poll where people can decide if they are generally interested and when you have the results, these people can talk about the possible dates and what they want to watch. Maybe in a separate thread that's only used for this purpose 🙂
 
🥹 👍 I think we can actually do this without complcating the board at all, here is what I was thinking, so we could post the or find the selected concert is Victory Tour Toronto (1984) in a Thread on here well documented and then we all come ON or IN to here and in a Chatroom we meet at 7pm as @Moonie said!
So in the Chatroom it would be labelled " VICTORY TOUR WATCH PARTY" so we knew which room to go into at 7pm!
This way we can use MJJC and no other extra hardware to do it!!
@someplace_else thanks we were having the same idea!!

I was just brainstorming I hope that I am making sense to everyone! :p

I personally never saw ANYTHING that said the movie night was going to be online..only until @Moonie mentioned it in her most recent post at the time of typing this. If there was any post that did mention about having the Movie Night online then my apologizes where is said post?

Maybe it's just my pea frenchie brain that can't translate things but I said in the main post ''It's a time when people get together remotely on a platform, and a designated person shares a stream or video that everyone can watch at the same time. It's like we're all at the movies together... but remotely!''

Does this make sense? Please correct me if I make any mistakes that make the translation confusing 😅
