I just saw in the comments of a video from "the Detail" on YT some user asking them to do a video about Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam rejecting MJJ Productions in 1986, and I was like "what?".
I've digged deep and I know a lot of MJ stuff (like him at some point being in the conversation for becoming one of the founders of Dreamworks, etc), but I've never heard about this. Then again, it sort of makes sense, considering the Janet connection and the fact that at the time MJ was kinda stuck between Epic and Sony after Sony acquired CBS Records.
I have not been able to find anything else online about this so I ask here, as I usually do.
I'd also appreciate discussion, information and/or resources discussing the period between Epic and the first big Sony contract for MJ and what other alternatives he explored, if any.
