Cry is not music video. It's just Sony's pathetic attempt to promote the song. Cheap and puny

Michael Jackson’s Song/Short Film "You Rock My World" was a revolutionary and a masterpiece truly a turning point in music and just for the culture of music in general Long Live The King Of Music Michael Joseph Jackson Forever! He’ll Always Be The Greatest Music Artist To Ever Live Period (Also unreal how he incorporated the sounds of the bar into the music like that what a genius this song/short film is a classic till this day and MJ’s chemistry with Chris Tucker is so perfect man and they were really great friends real friends,Also that girl in the dress who was dancing with MJ she had Breast Cancer a few years back but she doing great now and has her own cooking show here on YouTube her name is “Kishaya Dudley” very beautiful woman)

Japanese TV channels broadcasts Michael’s music videos every year.

The filming of the 'Cry' music video took place at the Napa area (which is located in Northern California).

But terrorist attacks were about to take place at that time near to the Napa area.

As a result of that, Michael Jackson did not want to risk his life, so he decided to leave the Napa area at that time, which resulted in his absence from that music video.

Also, according to Nick Brandt, an additional reason for Michael Jackson for not appearing on that music video was that the singer believed that his appearance would distract attention from its message.

I don't care! If there is no Michael Jackson in music video, then this is not Michael Jackson Music Video. That's it! They could shoot him everywhere! In any other studio and then just add in montage at least in the end... But they didn't, simply because Cry music video is not what MJ really wanted

Note that also in some other music videos (such as, 'Heal The World'), Michael Jackson decided not to appear on them.

Are these music videos not Michael Jackson music videos, as well?

Okay, sorry, you are right

I mean, I know it were different times, but still sad to see there ain't one woman in this list

Honestly I love the song but because he isn't in the video....I hardly never ever watch it because of that very reason.

I would have liked it if he had worked with Sofia Coppola. She was already a known director in 2000 (The Virgin Suicides was from 1999) and she did direct some music videos. Would have been an interesting collaboration for a Invincible song.
