wouldn't it be possible for brad to have a copy of DA if c1945 was on a laptop? From a Steve Porcaro seminar, same as the original LQ C1945 leak
Yes. It can't be identified.A concert? Which one?
I don't believe so since Brad wasn't in the picture when Dream Away was initially worked on but you never knowwouldn't it be possible for brad to have a copy of DA if c1945 was on a laptop?
Anything is possible- we didn't expect Brad to have C1945, but we know C1945 was played at a Brad seminar years ago, at Westlake I believe.wouldn't it be possible for brad to have a copy of DA if c1945 was on a laptop?
SBD?

Love Freeze, but MJ re-using a full chorus would’ve gotten him eaten alive (and imo is insanely lazy in any capacity). I love a throwback but this would’ve incited endless comments that amounted to, “This just reminds you how bad his new music is and how good his old music is.”Another Dr. Freeze demo has been found, this one was made in 2004.
And it slaps, man. Love how it reuses the hook from "Get On The Floor" which to me is one of my favorite songs from "Off The Wall". Seeing Michael do this kind of throwback in the 2000's would've been so cool.
Agreed. Re-using a full chorus feels lazy and I doubt Michael would've recorded that.Love Freeze, but MJ re-using a full chorus would’ve gotten him eaten alive (and imo is insanely lazy in any capacity). I'm thinking about both leaked tracks from that Freddie session.Victory related part starts at 25:14 minutes.
The demo always sounded way better in every way to me. MJ and Freddie's voices meshed perfectly, the looser/rougher production suited the style and lyrics. It sounds like a much "bigger" song to me.This is what Bill wrote in the past on X on his mixing of SoS:
State of Shock was brought to me in 1984. It was a rave-up of amazing energy from Freddie and Michael.
I was disappointed when I heard the Mick version, obviously because Mick was on the same label.
MJ told me David Williams played guitar at Hayvenhurst on the Freddy version.
****
I'm gonna keep repeating this and then stop.
Between BAD/hayvenhurst and Dangerous there must be 20 or so 4-hr sessions I did to "see what I could do with it" These came from diverse places and people.
Think of "State of Shock" for instance. I was able to "find the best essence" of the home demo, and MJ was able to hear how to proceed with it.

There could be more sources though. Look at Rocker and Water HQ snippets from Damien Shields for instanceI always did suspected that the other laptop was involved. Because how else could MIB, TYLA, and Streetwalker 1987 possibly leak? The only other people with those songs outside of Brad are producers. And those are all songs we know for certain that Brad has played. And we know that Brad also has "Turnin Me Off" at least because of the DAT.

There'll be a sequel?![]()
The Rocker snippets didn't come from Damien did it? And as for what Kai said, he's probably right about the tapes. (unrelated, but I really want Rocker to leak)There could be more sources though. Look at Rocker and Water HQ snippets from Damien Shields for instance
Its objectively better because its the original intended sound/vibe for the songCall me crazy, but the 1987 mix of Streetwalker has really grown on me?
I say this as someone who considers the 2001 Special Edition version probably my favourite MJ outtake.
Thanks to the inapt Estate, we'll likely never hear the MJ approved Freddie mix that's intended for Victory. The demo always sounded way better in every way to me. unless it leaksThanks to the inapt Estate, we'll likely never hear the MJ approved Freddie mix that's intended for Victory.
How? I doubt, that specific mix was widely spread among studio stuff.unless it leaks
Man In Black leaked, Finding Neverland is circulating, anything is possible atpHow? I doubt, that specific mix was widely spread among studio stuff.
I think that with most artists/songwriters, MJ included, it's the original idea or inspiration that has often the most impact. It can certainly be said about Streetwalker (I personally prefer the looser vibe of 1986 demo) and State of Shock. Its objectively better because its the original intended sound/vibe for the song
I agree with Streetwalker. So far, it's imo the strongest available version of that song.I think that with most artists/songwriters, MJ included, it's the original idea or inspiration that has often the most impact. well the 1986 version is a true demo for the 1987 version. The 1987 version is like 90% done, but its definitely still greatI think that with most artists/songwriters, MJ included, it's the original idea or inspiration that has often the most impact.
