“Do You Know Where Your Children Are” is from May 1986.
That one you’re right about—my mistake!Isn't Doing Dirty from 1982? It says so on the copyright registry.
If you’re referring to the excerpt in his book, a year was never specifically mentioned to my knowledge.Jermaine mentioned "What's Your Life" being somewhere around 1983
Steve Pocaro said "Chicago 1945" was recorded a few weeks after Thriller video was released and a few months before Victory tour, which would make it 1984
Doing Dirty is 1982. My error
"Alright Now" was confirmed by John Barnes as somewhere between 1983 and 84
"Make or Break" was confirmed by John Barnes as 1985
"Do You Know..." was also confirmed by John Barnes as 1985
Yep I'm the same. Mike was on fire in the Bad era I'm all aspects, that was Michael's eraI don't know why I'm so obsessed with the bad era but I want to hear turning me off and tomboy so badly
I'm sure that at least half of the releases will come from that era, Michael was at his creative peak back then.I don't know why I'm so obsessed with the bad era but I want to hear turning me off and tomboy so badly
It's not confirmed to exist but if it does, it was supposedly inspired by Prince's birth.Angel

That one you’re right about—my mistake!

The timeline of “Chicago 1945” is also in flux. Apparently Steve changed the story late last year and now claims it was done in December 1982.
I’m relatively certain John never confirmed the dates of any of those songs, though I could be wrong about “Make or Break.” He said “Alright Now” was older than “Make or Break,” which could mean a million different things. I know for sure that “Do You Know” is from May 1986 though, as studio calendars from Hayvenhurst say as much.
Not trying to be pedantic here! Just trying to come to a firm conclusion![]()
Haven't they released their part as a different song though?MJ's solo demo is vocally completed. The only thing missing is Run DMC's parts.
For me it's Buffalo Bill.I don't know why I'm so obsessed with the bad era but I want to hear turning me off and tomboy so badly
I’ve spoken with someone who knows the editors of the Black & White magazine (which to my knowledge is the only source to ever cite these two titles), and apparently they don’t exist. It was a rumor they bought into but weren’t able to correct. Of course I can’t confirm this myself!Thank you @ChanceToDance , i made corrections
For Angel and Do You Love Me, for me the informations about their existence are strong
Fascinating! This is definitely contradictory to the session calendars, as “Do You Know…” was listed on 9th May 1986 for the first time that year. Very interested to know the truth here.I’ve met John a few times and he confirmed Make or Break being 1985 and Alright Now being done sometime during Victory. He also confirmed that Do You Know was done during the very early stages of Bad and said it was roughly 1985. He also confirmed Another Part of Me was being worked on in January 1984 while MJ was recovering
I know it’s hard to pin point specific years because MJ was working on songs on and off. All love!
It used to be Chicago 1945 for me but since it leaked now my fixation goes completely into Invincible-Post Invincible lol. I'd give my left kidney to listen to Adore You, Dark Lady and Monster. For me it's Buffalo Bill.
All good! Don't worry, I'm not an obsessed Michael fan that takes everything personal hahahaha but sometimes we can't help but try to correct something......you're good in my book!I’ve spoken with someone who knows the editors of the Black & White magazine (which to my knowledge is the only source to ever cite these two titles), and apparently they don’t exist. It was a rumor they bought into but weren’t able to correct. Of course I can’t confirm this myself!

Thanks for sharing this! Plenty of falsehoods are going around and I always unnecessarily try to correct them lol. Not my place at all. It is nice to know a definite creation year for “Make or Break.”
There is song called do you know different than who do you know and do you know whrere your children are ?I’ve spoken with someone who knows the editors of the Black & White magazine (which to my knowledge is the only source to ever cite these two titles), and apparently they don’t exist. They are recording session dates and also track sheets.I've seen them mentioned a few times recently, what these "session calendars", are they available to buy?
Thanks for the infoThey are recording session dates and also track sheets.
They are not available to buy, but authors (such as, Joseph Vogel) have access to them when they need to include certain recording dates of songs in their books.
"Angel" and "Do You Love Me" do not exist. Not sure about "Colorblind" or "Rich Girl" what's the source for those? and Weight Off Me wasn't "reworked" after Invincible. It was REMASTERED for inclusion on The Ultimate Collection in 2004. The 2001 and 2004 versions are the same, just a different master. Also "Truth About Youth" is called "Truth ON Youth"I summarize the informations mentioned in the first ten pages of the topic. I will end later. Here it is :

Maybe the verses are not completed

Brad Buxer cited a list of songs he had worked on with MJ on the MJCast and those titles were included on the list. Not sure about "Colorblind" or "Rich Girl" what's the source for those?
Just found a link to the court filings. There’s some very interesting items included, including an astonishing number of CDs. Highlights:
Außerdem gibt es ein leicht verschwommenes Bild von 35 weiteren CDs (S. 72), darunter die Titel „Hollywood Tonight“, „Throwin‘ Your Life Away“, „Miami Vice“ (könnte in Zusammenhang mit der TV-Serie stehen) und „Zerbrochener Stuhl“. Außerdem gibt es einen zusätzlichen Textsatz für „You Were There“ (S. 78):
- “Throwin’ Your Life Away” (p. 7)
- “Earth Love,” dated April 22, 2009 and written in another person’s handwriting (p. 8)
- “Dancing for Love - RedOne” (p. 12)

You were there for the good times and the bad
When I’ve lost all that I had
You were there to have, to hold
When the world all came together
Trying to take away my soul
When the walls came down on me
You were there when the walls came tumbling down
This question interests me too.Did the estate actually get the stolen stuff back?
Did the estate actually get the stolen stuff back?
They're deliberating in court about it now presently. That is all the items. This question interests me too.
And are all the stolen items here?
