I don't know. The mix that was played with Q, MJ and Rubba in the room?
Yeah, Brad Buxer and Frank Cascio worked on some writer's demos for MJ in the early 2000's and that's one of them. They were auctioned quite a while ago.So this is a demo? Because not a vocal by mj is sang here!![]()
Sounds like a boy-band song.

There's also the working title "Florida Groove" and an alternative mix of the 1988 version which replaces the drums and percussion with trash can sounds.Yes, the 1987 mix which almost made it onto the album. So, there's three: 1986 demo, 1987 Quincy/Westlake mix and 1988 Bill Botrell mix.
Brad Sundberg said during a seminar that the Christmas song was actually just a cover of a song from the movie Home Alone and only a choir of children sang it, there's no MJ vocals on it, they just did it for the fun of it.Are the Peter Pan songs slower paced songs orrrrr
Buffalo Bill = Buffalo Bills theme
Throwin' Your Life Away doesn't seem finished yet UNLESS the leaked recording we have of it isn't the actual finished one. Its also weird cause the synth sounds so, weird but amazing
Serious Effect sounds kinda better slightly higher pitched, by like +0.20-0.30
If You Don't Love Me sounds kinda unfinished to me because of the repetitive lyrics, idk why
I wish the Christmas Song leaked, we need an adult mj xmas song
Christmas Star? That is a hauntingly beautiful piece of musicBrad Sundberg said during a seminar that the Christmas song was actually just a cover of a song from the movie Home Alone and only a choir of children sang it, there's no MJ vocals on it, they just did it for the fun of it.
I don't remember the name of the song but it might be this one !Christmas Star? That is a hauntingly beautiful piece of music
It was still on the tracklist two weeks before release. I’m sure Streetwalker is more than complete.I don’t think there’s a Quincy mix of Streetwalker since the song still sounds lyrically incomplete. If Streetwalker would’ve been picked over APOM, that’s when I think they would’ve worked on the song more.
Brad literally showed the 1987 Westlake mix (aka Quincy's) at one of the first seminars some years ago. If I said there is one, I'm based on evidence.I don’t think there’s a Quincy mix of Streetwalker since the song still sounds lyrically incomplete. If Streetwalker would’ve been picked over APOM, that’s when I think they would’ve worked on the song more.
What I find odd is that the part ”why don’t you give me some time, won’t you give me some time” isn’t present in the Quincy version, while it is in the 1986 demo and in the Bill Bottrell mix.Brad literally showed the 1987 Westlake mix (aka Quincy's) at one of the first seminars some years ago. If I said there is one, I'm based on evidence.
You can hear it below:
It's one I've been wanting to hear in HQ for a long while, a shame we will likely not have it releasedThat Westlake mix is the best version of the song imo. I'm still upset that the HQ version wasn't on Brad's laptop, now we'll always be stuck with this distorted seminar recording.
We will in time for Bad 3 and KnucklesIt's one I've been wanting to hear in HQ for a long while, a shame we will likely not have it released
It was on Brad second laptop when Lord Stole the laptop he forgot the second Laptop that was in seminarIt's one I've been wanting to hear in HQ for a long while, a shame we will likely not have it released
I've heard this version and it sounds like the same vocal take as the 1988 mixBrad literally showed the 1987 Westlake mix (aka Quincy's) at one of the first seminars some years ago. If I said there is one, I'm based on evidence.
You can hear it below:
While the test pressing does exist with Streetwalker being shown on it, Brad mentioned the album tracklist was complete months before and it's possible they were just using streetwalker to test the font. Not denying it wasn't removed last minute thoughIt was still on the tracklist two weeks before release. I’m sure Streetwalker is more than complete.
Why would it have a different vocal take?I've heard this version and it sounds like the same vocal take as the 1988 mix
Is there a reason your friend chooses these songs? Is he trying or does he have any information? My friend took What Do You want Rescuse Me and Lost In Love and Starlight
He chooses those songs because it have Vocals since is considered is a Slave Vocal Take for Lost In Love and Starlight and he told me What Do You Want and Rescuse Me don't it mention Vocals on the Master Tapes it means it could have instrumental and vocal at the same timeIs there a reason your friend chooses these songs? Is he trying or does he have any information?
The vocals slaves have vocals and instrumental at the same time according to what Brad Sundberg said, it's just a mixdown of the instrumental on a dozen of tracks and the rest are free for vocalsHe chooses those songs because it have Vocals since is considered is a Slave Vocal Take for Lost In Love and Starlight and he told me What Do You Want and Rescuse Me don't it mention Vocals on the Master Tapes it means it could have instrumental and vocal at the same time
Well, Bill created his mix with stuff from this one, which was the final mix up to that point.I've heard this version and it sounds like the same vocal take as the 1988 mix
Bruce Swedien, John van Nest, Russ Ragsdale, all of them have confirmed that they've worked on and finished 12 songs for the Bad album.I'd love to know for definite how many songs were worked on at Westlake by "The A Team" (hate calling them that) because if it was only the 11 on the album and then just Streetwalker I'd be shocked.
Thanks mate, hopefully they worked on a few more tracksBruce Swedien, John van Nest, Russ Ragsdale, all of them have confirmed that they've worked on and finished 12 songs for the Bad album.
This doesn't exclude them having also worked on other songs to some degree.
Any chance he could share snippet of each track? He chooses those songs because it have Vocals since is considered is a Slave Vocal Take for Lost In Love and Starlight and he told me What Do You Want and Rescuse Me don't it mention Vocals on the Master Tapes it means it could have instrumental and vocal at the same time
