Never thought I'd see you walk in that door (Oh now, yeah)
I can make you feel (Like you're a queen)
No remedies (No compromise)
Would you rather be, right here with me?
I want you right here next to me
"Rod had a meeting with MJ at his hotel suite in late 2008 during which MJ played Rod several songs. Some of the songs already had lyrics, which MJ wanted to improve. Others were instrumentals without any lyrics at all. MJ was seeking Rod’s input. They met a couple of times."
Was it ever revealed what songs MJ had played for Rod in 2008? If not, this is the first piece of info that we're getting on Can't Stop Loving You other than just the title being found on MJ's notes lol."The songs MJ played for Rod during that 2008 meeting at MJ’s hotel suite were Best of Joy, Hollywood Tonight, The Loser, The Way Your Love Me, Beautiful Girl, Dark Lady, DIE, and Can’t Stop Loving You."
CursesFake.
For some reason

These quotes are promising for the fact that if Michael felt strongly enough to show those songs to Rod, they must at least have more than just scratch vocals

I knew that MJ was planning on showing The Loser to Rod but I wasn't sure if the rest was new info or not. Very interesting. For some reason
I thought we were talking about Rod Michael. Lol
But, yeah, this is the first time. It was a thinly veiled concept that MJ met with Rod at all really. We knew they discussed a new bridge for Best of Joy and that's it. So this is very enlightening.
An organic production maybe. Or maybe an inverse Beat It; it went from a funky danceable tune to a rock song, D.I.E could end up more groovy. "Dance is Entertainment". Could be like "Robot Rock".I knew that MJ was planning on showing The Loser to Rod but I wasn't sure if the rest was new info or not. Very interesting.
The song that stands out for me the most there is D.I.E; the song is like a hard rock song, right? All of the songs MJ and Rod Temperton had worked on were either love ballads or dance songs, so I wonder what was he going to bring to the table with a song like that lol.
False.Coco Butter isn't vocally complete, in fact it wasn't even recorded.
I don’t know where you get that feeling based purely on the title aloneI have a feeling Coco Butter could be a really good song
Source?False.
Damien, MP, Buxer, look it up.Source?
"I Love You More is a song written by Michael Prince, Eric Kirkland and MJ. There's a version sung by Eric and a version sung by a woman. I'm not aware of an MJ version. Michael Prince also co-wrote Shut Up And Dance (Eric sang it, not MJ) and Butter Funk (which is instrumental)."Damien, MP, Buxer, look it up.
I'm pretty sure Damien said that has no vocals. Just an instrumental Groove.Damien, MP, Buxer, look it up.
That is some very interesting new info

Separate song, im not even sure if Damien has heard Coco Butter since it's not registered.Butter Funk (which is instrumental)."
Yeah maybe notSeparate song, im not even sure if Damien has heard Coco Butter since it's not registered.
I think they really are the same song since the titles are very similar, remember how MJ had written on his notes "The Loser", "Ways You Love Me", "Stop Throwing Your Life Away" and such as alternative titles even though those songs aren't named that way exactly, so similarly I think Coco Butter/Butter Funk are just different titles of the same song.Separate song, im not even sure if Damien has heard Coco Butter since it's not registered.
Like hot street & slapstick basicallyI think they really are the same song since the titles are very similar, remember how MJ had written on his notes "The Loser", "Ways You Love Me", "Stop Throwing Your Life Away" and such as alternative titles even though those songs aren't named that way exactly, so similarly I think Coco Butter/Butter Funk are just different titles of the same song.
Thriller demos late 90s; Dangerous demos mid 2002 (or 2001?)random question, what was and when was the first ever song/snippet to be leaked? Iirc i heard something leaked before Xscape in 2002
Coco Butter and Butter Funk are not the same song."I Love You More is a song written by Michael Prince, Eric Kirkland and MJ. There's a version sung by Eric and a version sung by a woman. Metropolis Studios in London. It appears on the official FaceBook page.A little off topic, but does anyone know in which studio this photo was taken? The Only information I could find was the year (2004)
