Is there a version of Do You Know Where Your Children Are from Michael with the vocals from the Original Version of Xscape?

Totally agree. Missed opportunity. They must have been really pressed with the time available on the record. Hence why it was all sped up to being with. A reissue with these vocals that isn't sped up would be nice.
I wish his unreleased vocals at 2:40 made it on the track because it makes the song 10x better
All Jacksons & MJ solo albums deserve an uncut release. Wouldn't cost them (Sony/Estate) much time and money if released digital only.A reissue with these vocals that isn't sped up would be nice.
Does the estate have control of the Jackson’s releases? All Jacksons & MJ solo albums deserve an uncut release. Wouldn't cost them (Sony/Estate) much time and money if released digital only.
Billie Jean's early fade out is a good example of what kind of gem had to be cut out.
They kinda do through Peacock Publishing.Does the estate have control of the Jackson’s releases?
That would be appreciated. would love to duplicate the original albumHave to go through my files but I believe Keep the Faith, Will You Be There and Remember the Time weren't on there but I'm not 100
Was "Joy"? I thought that might have been a finalist.Have to go through my files but I believe Keep the Faith, Will You Be There and Remember the Time weren't on there but I'm not 100
I'm up for any new MJ personally, but a part of me hopes it's something unexpected and not as well known. I believe there's at least a handful of unheard gems still around.I was listening to Ghost Of Another Lover this morning and it blew my mind that song leaked 7 years, feels like just yesterday
I wonder what will be the next thing to leak will be?
Yes, the 2010 rework aka rock version aka the best remix of the track. Is there a version of Do You Know Where Your Children Are from Michael with the vocals from the Original Version of Xscape?
people thought it was a michael approved mix when it leaked it was so good.Yes, the 2010 rework aka rock version aka the best remix of the track.
It's the best remix BY FAR.people thought it was a michael approved mix when it leaked it was so good.
I'd argue this is still the most satisfying mix of DYKWCA. It feels true to the original while respectfully modernised and it doesn't make a mess of the adlibs
Either John McClain or Tricky Stewart.Did we ever get confirmation on who created that mix? I recall discussion around it being John McClain but don't know if it was ever actually confirmed or just assumptions.
Not that I know. I think it was all assumptions.Did we ever get confirmation on who created that mix? I recall discussion around it being John McClain but don't know if it was ever actually confirmed or just assumptions.
Doesn't sound like a Tricky track imo. The mix is too close to the original. Neff-U maybe?Either John McClain or Tricky Stewart.
Sounds nothing like Neff-U to me.Doesn't sound like a Tricky track imo. The mix is too close to the original. Neff-U maybe?
Preach! It's the worst remix on Xscape imo.Timbaland completely butchered it.
I said the original vocals. From the original Version.Yes, the 2010 rework aka rock version aka the best remix of the track.
I don't particularly like it anymore but that's just me.Man, I remember when Do You Know.. leaked - didn't have shotgun sounds and movie quotes?
What a banger. Still holds up - probably one of the best posthumous productions they've ever made. Timbaland completely butchered it.
I'd say this terminology isn't quite right. The 2010 remix has a different vocal take indeed, but that's all. Nonetheless, to answer your question: no.I said the original vocals. From the original Version.
Bad Era take I guess? Except they're probably both from the Bad Era. I just like the ad libs of the version on Xscape Deluxe Edition.I'd say this terminology isn't quite right. The 2010 remix has a different vocal take indeed, but that's all. Nonetheless, to answer your question: no.
All of the takes are from the same session, I reckon.Bad Era take I guess? Except they're probably both from the Bad Era. I just like the ad libs of the version on Xscape Disc 2.
Hmm? What are you talking aboutXscape disc 2? What?
