maybe the 2014 version shouldn't have have sucked thenI don't like that DYKWYCA discussion always leads to the 2014 version catching strays. Lol
I liked it at the time, but it does sound very mid 2010s now. Very rarely do I ever go back to it, or Michael. Probably because in the back of my mind I know they aren't genuine.Tim butchered the entire album. Not much replay value in any of the new mixes besides maybe Escape.
Maybe y'all should give it a listen since 2014.maybe the 2014 version shouldn't have have sucked then
I listened to it yesterday and it still sucks. However, do you. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Our opinion shouldn't affect yours and vice-versa. Feel free to enjoy it, man.Maybe y'all should give it a listen since 2014.
It was never bad, just different. I got used to it because that's how music works sometimes when your palettes change.
The intro is quite sick, actually one of the best moments of the whole album. The bounce is odd but it fits the tension of the lyrical situation. It doesn't sound dated at all to me, not like the 80s, 90s, or 2014 at all.
I ain't gonna begrudge anyone for just not liking it, it don't ever gotta be your favorite, but it's music. At least just engage in good faith with Your Ears.
I normally agree with you on most things my friend but you're fighting a losing battle hereMaybe y'all should give it a listen since 2014.

Well I appreciate that much at least. It's still last on my list of Xscape ranking but I'm not gonna turn it off entirely. I save that for Privacy lolI listened to it yesterday and it still sucks. We're that starved for content that I can do this debate and it's at least entertaining lol.I normally agree with you on most things my friend but you're fighting a losing battle hereit sounds like a video game and it's a serious hard hitting subject matter. Don't get me started on the mess he made of the adlibs
imma agree here. I like Xscape. It's not perfect and I certainly would've liked different sounds on some songs but I actually enjoy it. It's a fresh sound that gives new perspectives on what MJ can sound like.Maybe y'all should give it a listen since 2014.

That's cause it's basically what MJ already did lol. Just a Leave Me Alone sample basically. The only song from Xscape I like is APWNN. The remix is actually very good imo and I feel like it’s something Michael would like
I much prefer Loving You and the remix by Timbaland should've been released as a single, IMO.The only song from Xscape I like is APWNN. The remix is actually very good imo and I feel like it’s something Michael would like
sounds oddNew leak:

Apparently Kai leaked it on discord sooooSounds to me like the vocals have been filtered. I believe the story is he didn't have access to the stems, but surely the vox were of better quality than what is presented here. If this is indeed real...
let's hope for the rest of the 2010 Neff-U MixNew leak:
You mean that warble on the original version ? Apparently that was intentionally done with the Synclavier. The intro on Loving You demo sounds weird, very weird imo
and it sounds so ****** ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh goooooooooodddddddYou mean that warble on the original version ? Apparently that was intentionally done with the Synclavier.
Knew this one was going around, from what many people claim it's a pretty mediocre mix, not up to the standard of the original.New leak:
I agree.and it sounds so ****** ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh gooooooooooddddddd
Isn't it from 2008 though? I thought it was done with Michael when he started reworking some tracks around that time.let's hope for the rest of the 2010 Neff-U Mix
Yep, that's what I recall.Isn't it from 2008 though? I thought it was done with Michael when he started reworking some tracks around that time.
It might be me only, but it's possible to differ the overdubs from the original take (I hear an acoustic guitar and some synths in this).New leak:
