Wasn’t there a snippet of a higher quality file of Streetwalker ‘87 that leaked on the 28th as well? If there’s something that Motif should leak, it should be that, maybe? 🤔😋🙏

Yeah I'm kinda wondering if it's a duet she's made of an already released song. If it's that then I'm not really all that interested.

As usual with Mj's stuff literally any other detail would be nice lol.

@Dtwmjj posted the video clip on the Mariah Carey thread. She doesn't say which song but she's put the call out for someone to call MJE about this. Not that MJE will bother to listen but props to Mariah for making the effort.

Some people are suggesting it might be SOOML 🤷🏽‍♀️

Interesting, I wonder if she's talking about more than just the biopic. What if we get a full album release rather than a soundtrack with maybe just a couple of new songs as a bonus?

We've got plenty of evidence that the Estate's been working behind the scenes to put out new music in the last few years (Steve Porcaro said back in 2022 he was working with the Estate to get C1945 released, Prince's comments, Brody Brown saying that the songs he remixed in 2018 are still planned to see the light of day, etc). The biopic's release would be the perfect opportunity for them to release an album since the hype for Michael Jackson will be at an all-time high since his death, the Estate is definitely gonna want to make the most of it.

I'd say the soundtrack in 2026, the new album in 2027.
 
I'm still only expecting a soundtrack album, maybe with one unreleased track and some alternate versions.

The estate has indicated through branca that they are concentrating on the biopic and have no plans for unreleased music.
 
Sounds like it's not a genuine duet, but the Estate are intentionally lying as low as possible until the Biopic. I really hope they are truly going all out to promote this thing.. they better not get the Thriller 40 word art back out!
 
It really is a great time for a new posthumous album! Interest in Mike and his music is about to explode thanks to the biopic, and tracks like Chicago show that these projects can generate hits when they find their audience. There's a new generation coming up who need to be exposed to his genius. It could be a gateway - Xscape came out when I was ten, and it led to me spending hours looking up 'MJ demo songs' on my dad's PC LOL!

Estate won't do it because they'd rather keep dropping boring t-shirts, posting low quality slop on social media and whatever else it is they're doing with the legacy of the greatest artist ever.

By the way when I said it sounded like AI . I was referring to the music, not the vocals. The music has a weird incongruent rhythm in my opinion. And it sounds glitchy almost. That's why I was sceptical. But maybe it's suppose to sound like that.
