There was no famous recreation of Family Thing. There was always the seminar recording and several masterings of that.
And then there was the sundberg laptop theft and suddenly we had it in HQ.

You're right. But it's getting difficult, with the instrumentals. Not to talk about AI vocals.
I have the same feeling when someone is excited about a writer's demo, with vocals of another singer.

If it's something that actually reached MJ, then to me that's more valuable. I mean, it's literally the song, and not something that resembles it. But hey to each his own...

This is genuinely terrible. So bad in fact I'm gonna assume its another lame seek for attention. That compressor is going crazy lmfaooo. Also there is no higher quality version of the one that leaked.

It's just the regular leak but remastered by Korgnex, it sounds worse than the OG file though imo, there's huge phasing issues that I guess come from the widening plugin he must have used to make it sound wider and it's a bit too compressed/in your face for my liking.
Good on him for trying though, just not for me.

Also the OG file that leaked is probably the highest quality we can get of it anyway, the file is 96khz 24bit and is already mastered, a remaster on top of an already mastered track doesn't really make sense to me and the only "newness" that would be interesting at this point would be a leak of the original version as MJ left it.

Ignoring the Korgnex thing...
the file we got is not mastered. Yes it is the highest quality it could possibly be but it is not mastered, it's closer to a bounce rather than a final master lol

The fact that I have more respect for Motif than Korgnex now is funny af lol. Atleast Motif is sharing what the songs are actually like and not dry leaking

The original filename of the leaked version is "Chicago MASTER.36.wav"...

When I put something on my channel and people start all this nonsense talk...
... about file traders and - somehow - my name is being thrown in.

As a reminder: I did not make anyone believe there would be leaks. So no idea why my name is randomly thrown in here.

The last time I posted in this thread was when I warned that a forgery was sold. A file leaking doesn't make the item authentic. It's also none of my business whatever file trading is happening.

I do care about fans not being duped into buying fake items though. In the past I have always warned about fake items and have been vocal about scammers. No ones likes being scammed. Not everyone here might be in a position to consider buying but there are enough people reading here who do either collect themselves or have friends who do. This is basically the last forum where people still read. And I don't see any harm in warning fellow fans about people who are not honest but deceiving.

Nowadays this thread is heavily derailed with all kinds of gossip about a weird community who spreads false info here and there.
I don't comment on any file traders' teasing with what they - as is usually the case - have obtained by a known person.

I will just say the most obvious: File traders are usually scammers. Keep that in mind. That's it, folks! ;)
