The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

This one:
yeahh i was thinking of this one! re-listening now it does sound more legit than i remember. i think it might be the ad-libs that sounded weird to me. do we know for sure if this song was originally for Dangerous tho? i dont think we ever got any confirmation

I can kind of picture Sunset Driver on Bad with updated production but I feel like it would've clashed with Speed Demon. I'd love to hear Bill's mix
Ever since I read that MJ used some of the verse words for a BOTDF demo, I could totally see it re-worked with a heavy NJS beat (like BOTDF/Remember The Time) with him spitting the verses like BOTDF.

It's one of those songs that I don't listen to enough, yet every time I do I like it more. Feels like the neglected child of The Ultimate Collection for me, and shame on me!

speaking of Saturday Woman, that supposed snippet that's been going around for years is fake right? it always sounded so obviously fake to me but i also never saw anyone disprove it
This track has fascinated me for several years now. Some snippets I do recognize vocals from other tracks but others I do not and they do sound like MJ, mind you this was before AI as well so it was much much much harder to make something like this. Doesn't help that the source of every single snippet seems to be unknown, the only one ik is that the full instrumental with bgv (just looking on YouTube now looks like this is lost media, can only find edits) is from Kabel Soosland who only posted legit stuff and also made a video debunking fakes.

Only reason I think the snippets are all ultimately fake (aside from sounding odd af) is because this title seems to be one that is largely unknown, never met a single person who has claimed to have heard it yet it would've been circulated enough to have all of these snippets and even that instrumental + bgv version. Yeah not buying it.

Taking some inspiration from an AI mix, I heard. Does anyone else think that Michael told Will.i.am they weren't going to be collaborating anymore and that he should just use what they made as a base for Thriller25 remixes? Since none of the songs appear on his bedroom lists that we know of?

I just made a quick edit of what " I just made a quick edit of what I'm Dreamin' could sound like," seeing as Will.i.am said it sampled a KRS-One beat.
TGIM 2008 beat being added in was just something BeanoWild did, never has been claimed by any source. But yeah will reusing some stuff is definitely possible.

About 35. Damien said that none of the known will.i.am titles, and the songs shown in the documents of the Jefrre Philips lawsuit ("Dancing For Love", "Earth Love", "Heaven With A Smile", etc.) were mentioned. I could've sworn he said "Chicago 1945" was also in one of the lists but I couldn't find anything so my memory must be failling me lol.

Lady Of Summer
Hollywood Tonight
Shut Up And Dance
Rock Tonight
Adore You

"Leaving Today To Berlin" is actually the correct title! I'm really curious where tf Damien would've seen that list and if there were other songs. The only other source for SW is Frank Cascio lol.

beginning sounds like "excuse me, do you got any [insert]", likely taken from a random mj video (probably shopping) and muffled/layered to be harmonic. 6 seconds in is just "brad whatre you gonna do" repurposed. the instrumental is a remake made by a former friend of mine. saturday woman is apparently a song created in the 2000s, but we always assumed it was dangerous due to the snippets.

Instrumental remake is the LQ version with BGV? thats what im referring to, it has vocals that don't appear in snippets. Also its not from "brad whatre you gonna do" if you compare them its clearly different although does sound similar lol.

Yea, I figured it was just something Beano did, but if Will.i.am's FlyGirl was the beat shown in the access interview then its possible that he just reused beats he had already made

I never knew this. I always assumed/hoped it was something brand new MJ may have come up with.

Well that's a 20 year mystery disappointingly put to rest!

Do we know anything about the song Livvi Franc wrote for Michael? Besides that its half finished. Or why it and the other RedOne track was not considered for Michael or Xscape? Just find it weird that they supposedly have a good chunk of vocals recorded and the Livvi track could have become a duet since it was just a reference track (Could have been similarly finished to Hot Fun in the Summertime). Really just want to hear these songs one day so I was just curious if anyone knows anything about them.

no i thought you meant the hq version thats everywhere. the lq version was the basis for that. it sounds like the same line muffled and slightly cut. i dont think this tracks real at all especially given the shopping intro. the actual saturday womans probably locked in the vault unheard outside the inner circle if i had to guess

It's not all the music they played in the clip, I think we can hear something that sounds like Still The King...but that instrumental was never confirmed as that. So it's possible, Will just ended up using leftovers for himself—because why would Michael, who was against leaks and wanted mystery to be released, allow them to use the music they made.

How do you know this? Everyone thought it was 1981 reworked version
It was fully recorded and produced in 1982, it was just in 1986 that Bill made a stereo mix of the original multitracks, which is the one that ended up on The Ultimate Collection and Thriller 40. It is still completely a Thriller-sessions version.

I don't think they were actually working on anything in that interview. Will was just playing stuff for MJ.
That could be the point, too. I am curious about their session, though. 2 completed songs, and an instrumental and a chorus were all that materialized from the Will.i.am sessions?

Was it ever confirmed that she was telling the truth? There were a couple artists who claim to have written with/for Michael around the time but never put forward any evidence.

As for RedOne, he’s been pretty consistent that he’s only authorize its release if the proceeds went to a good cause. Nothing the estate has done since really fits that bill, sadly, so it seems like they’re out of the question for the time being.

We don't anything about the Will.I.Am tracks other than the one Will described in an interview, even then he only talked about MJ singing the hook and sang some of it.

Having trouble finding the interview now, if someone else does post it lol.

He mentioned "The Future" as well. Nothing on the completion status.

I'll die on the hill that this one snippet they played here was "The Future", that sound perfectly fits the description Will.i.am gave of "The Future" (latin beat, callback sound to "Off The Wall", etc.). It's also the only song in that interview which hasn't been released by Will, there's that other song they played which people speculated was "Still The King" that was reused in 2 songs.
