This one genuinely was a slapper
This is how I always imagined this song. This even has the brothers providing backing vocals. Impressive fake lolThatās not even the better Buffalo Bill AI Pastiche.

This one was so good, still got a fake āseminar leakā snippet of it in my files. Udio randomly cooked that dayThatās not even the better Buffalo Bill AI Pastiche.

no one knows, and yes it was a random questionsRandom question, but where did the claim that Michael recorded a song called "Splash! We Can Get Wet Babe!"?
Heās credited as a songwriter on one of the copyright websites (BMI, if Iām recalling correctly), alongside at least two other Jacksons. I always presumed it was a sample he was credited for.Random question, but where did the claim that Michael recorded a song called "Splash! We Can Get Wet Babe!"?

How did you turn this out? This was so funny
I was the one who shared this, trolling of course
Will any of you be there in NY? If so, please ask Brad about "Snakepit".On the March 28 In the Studio With MJ seminar in NY, Brad Sundberg will invite Tony Black (engineer on HIStory). Maybe someone attends that seminar and has some nice questions for Tony?![]()
Better yet, ask him about the working titles shown on the Michael teaser, like MedusaWill any of you be there in NY? If so, please ask Brad about "Snakepit".
All of them (except HS) are fictitious.Better yet, ask him about the working titles shown on the Michael teaser, like Medusa
update i literally just figured out right after posting this after consulting a different source. Derek DeGrate claims to be the other vocalist. He also claims that Threatened was inspired by Monster (Really giving me Loren vibes with this one) but I honestly think this is just him misattributing generic elements to the song.not sure how much all of this was stuff you guys were aware of, know some of it was but some of it i had never seen online before. Initially shared this message with fellow tracker editors but figured I could post it here as well.
Monster DOES have more recorded vocals than just the lead vocal bit we heard, whether or not they appear in any mixdowns i'm not sure of, he recorded so many vocals that the tape was completely full by the time he was done.
MJ did beatboxing for the song.
The track was recorded over the course of 1 week.
The version with the complete hook is from 1999 (although Damien said 1998 for some reason? Either someone misremembered or there are versions from both 98 and 99 with the full chorus)
The instrumental was already well evolved before the chorus was added.
MJ absolutely loved the mix that was done for his headphones.
There were multiple rough mixes given to Michael to listen to outside of the studio.
I still have no clue who the other singer on the song is though which is the main thing i wanna figure out lol.
This is one title that's always intrigued me too. I'd love to find out more about itRandom question, but where did the claim that Michael recorded a song called "Splash! We Can Get Wet Babe!"?
It was some copyright registration. There was never an exclamation in the title though oddly enough in all of the records that I can find it it is simply "Splash We Can Get Wet Babe" and "Splash, We Can Get Wet, Babe". Some registrations for the song don't credit MJ at all as a contributor. Earliest confirmed date is it's at least from August 1994 or earlier. Was frequently re-registered with other songs MJ held publishing rights to due to deals and licensed samples. I'm 99% sure this is just a sample and not an actual song MJ had anything to do with.Random question, but where did the claim that Michael recorded a song called "Splash! We Can Get Wet Babe!"?
More vocals than āyouāve created a monsterā? Verses? Scratch vocals?not sure how much all of this was stuff you guys were aware of, know some of it was but some of it i had never seen online before. Initially shared this message with fellow tracker editors but figured I could post it here as well.

All ik is the tape was full meaning he recorded quite a bit. Could be skeletal ideas in there for verses or a bridge since during recording he would ask for the tape to be manually wound back to the part of the song he wanted to do. I'm 99.999999% sure there's no actual proper verses with lyrics or anything like that but the fact is there IS more, which is exciting. More than likely just skeletal ideas, harmonies, adlibs.More vocals than āyouāve created a monsterā? Verses? Scratch vocals?
When asked about that Damien said all that was recorded was the āyouāvecreated a monsterā just stacked the vocals of that lineAll ik is the tape was full meaning he recorded quite a bit. well that can't be true because there's beatboxing and in the snippet there are adlibs. When asked about that Damien said all that was recorded was the āyouāvecreated a monsterā just stacked the vocals of that line

Yeah i know what he has said about it. He filled the entire tape with stuff, doesn't mean it actually got into a mixdown like I said and that doesn't mean it was any sort of lead vocal, again could be random ideas, adlibs, who knows.Michael Prince said there were no lead vocals, just a chorus
"We have an MJ song (vocals only in the chorus) called Monster." - Michael Prince
Clay is right. You literally hear Michael humming in one of the short snippets we have.well that can't be true because there's beatboxing and in the snippet there are adlibs.
I am a loser first demowhat do you think inspired michael to write: "shes a losa"
This was a suno thing when they could generate mj vocals, i uploaded that file which was sent to me, idk who make it but now i think itās impossible to makeHow did you turn this out?
He would have a slave reel to record vocals on to sub-mixes of the instrumental backing track⦠Layering and stacking the vocals was done for the chorus on āMonsterā, and that would have been all the backing vocals. Michael usually did BVās before recording any scratch lead vocals or final lead vocal.Yeah i know what he has said about it.
