Does anybody remember this album, it came out some time in 1984 and contained 8 or 9 songs, one of my friends had a copy of it years ago, I remember looking at the cover ofsome badly drawn cartoon chipmunks wearing knock off capes and jeans.
I can not remember the track listing, but I heard him play Beat It, Billie Jean and part of Thriller, until I said enough, it was truly terrible and whoever made it was looking for some kiddie kash in on Michael Jackson and Alvin and the Chipmunks. I mean this album ripped off Michael Jackson and Alvin and the Chipmunks (Whose animated series had a good run between 1983 and 1991, so they were popular again).
What did Michael think of it, he may have even tolerated it, as it appears in Adrian Grant's chronology, that the album was released in March or May of 1984 (I don't have the book in front of me) by Startel entertainment. I only saw and heard the album around 1990/1991 when I was 14, so I can barely remember it, only just how bad it was.
