And so it should be damn it! It’s frustrating to be a utd fan outside England, I miss out on all the talk and gossip in the newspaper and tv.

So where are the English putting Charlton? Bigger than Bobby Moore and Stanley Matthews? Maybe Bryan Robson is in with a shout? All is good as long as it is not a liverpool player.

I know. I did think of that aspect of it for you. Yeah, you can watch the videos or go onto the fan sites or whatever but it's not quite the same. This will be talked about on tubes, trains, buses, in the office, in a queue, in coffee shops, on the radio. It'll run and run, just everywhere. Not Michael levels, obviously. Not close to that. But it'll be pretty intense for a while.

It’s true we get literally nothing, especially not now that utd plays horrendous football. There is zero talk about the take over, nothing, nada

I’m just glad he is respected a lot, it doesn’t surprise me but it’s good to see it confirmed lol

Oh, interesting question. I'm going to look out for that. I haven't even read all of today's coverage. Bought 4 papers. They all had him all over plus the Sports sections. Then it'll start all over again tomorrow. But, yeah, sure, that will be a BIG conversation. Where to place him.

Between him and Bobby Moore, I just don't know who they would go for. And you're right. Bryan Robson could easily be in with a chance. Tricky.

Oh, it never let up. Not once, in all the years since ... well, since 1966. He'd be in the papers regularly. Anything at all that he did would be reported on. Even when Jack was doing stuff with Ireland the papers would get Bobby into the story somehow, even if it was only the thing about the feud between them.

Bobby was truly loved.
