History did really well in Europe. I am sure that Michael’s decision to not tour USA during the history tour had an impact on History’s performance in his home country.

Mm, maybe but then that throws up a big question mark in my mind. Dangerous is showing up at 120 weeks on the chart vs. HIStory with only 36 weeks even though there were no US tour dates for DWT. Presumably the tour promoters have responsibility for putting the tour dates together. I'm uncertain how much input the star gets even if they are an A-list global superstar.

I'm digressing. I'm just interested to see that Dangerous has a good number of weeks on the Billboard chart vs. a much lower number for HIStory even though both tours avoided the US.

Dangerous was before the allegations which seem to taint Michael’s reputation the most in USA. Also, despite Michael not touring the USA during the dangerous tour, it seems like Dangerous was still promoted pretty well in the USA, while it seems that during the History era, Michael’s focus was primarily on the international markets, which I don’t blame him for, considering how he was treated in the USA post 1993.
