The Official 'Michael' Bio-Pic Thread

Looks like you found the information you asked for, and fairly quickly.

Well done ‘newbie’ 👍👌
Thanks MJ5824ever 😊
I haven't found a lot of info about the potential 🤞 "Michael 2" film tbh. All I'm finding is a little vague. I have a feeling the knowledgeable fans might know more 🤞But if filming hasn't started, we could be in for a long wait.
What would we like to see in "Michael 2" ? Clarity on why Michael is innocent in both cases. His legal team and brilliant defence in court. The lovely friends Michael had... Liz, Diana etc ... The out of this world performances eg Budapest... a hundred thousand fans held in silence till Michael "moved". And... Man in the Mirror.

There's still no official confirmation of the sequel. But with the success of the first part it's inevitable. And maybe really it would be a trilogy with the last movie as the darkest and most dramatic: the allegations and death.

Andrew Greenes comment under MJCasts roundtable of the biopic, I hope he is right we are getting a trilogy :) 🙏

"One thing I’m fairly certain about: the script that was filmed in 2024 was not the earliest version of the screenplay. The original‑original draft reportedly carried the story all the way through Michael’s passing. The version that ultimately went before cameras stops in 1994.
Here’s how I believe Part 2 is designed to unfold:
Opening:

Part 2 will likely mirror the structure of Part 1 — beginning at the “end” and then flashing back. Then rewind to fill in the gap between the final Victory Tour show and the start of the Bad era.

Act I:

This is where we’ll see the connective tissue the first film skipped: The sale of the ATV catalog, the media’s early shift in tone toward Michael, and the creative and personal evolution leading into the Bad era.

Act II:

This act practically writes itself: Michael purchasing Neverland, the development and transformation of the property, his expanding humanitarian work, and a more intimate, humanizing portrait of who he was offstage. This is the emotional core, the part that I believe will deepen the audience’s connection to him.

Act III:

The final act will almost certainly center on the Dangerous era: the artistry, the ambition, the scale, the cultural impact. We will see him reacting to Rodney King beating (spoiler: foreshadowing third movie) culminating in one of the most iconic moments of his career: the Super Bowl halftime show.

Because Part 2 covers a tighter, more concentrated stretch of Michael’s life, I expect a film with far more dialogue, character work, and narrative depth. Less time to cover means more room to breathe.

And yes, everything about the structure, the timeline, and the pacing strongly suggests there will be a third film.
I forgot who it was on the show that said it, but this current film is just act one. We are going to go through three acts. The next film will be act 2, and the third film will be the third act!"
Great news 👐 thanks Lightbringer ✨️ Can we make some requests for the next films 🎥 ? I suppose there would be millions of fans wanting to do this 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thanks 🙌 Yes there's a lot to cover.... so 2 more sequels rather than 1 🤞

Im sorry i just checked the comments and i didnt see Andrews name, did he use a different name?

Gosh they were so negative!

And Charles comments about peter pan are weird. I didnt get that from watching the movie and neither has anyone else I've seen commenting. Wtf??
I'd rather drink wasps than have to listen to Thompson again.

Charles has made a career exposing perverts in the UK. Which is honorable work

But focusing on that topic all day, every day can't be good for a persons mental health and would likely corrupt you in some way.

Not saying charles is a pervert but it definitely seems like his thought processes have been warped from writing about perverts and their crimes all the time. He now sees everything through that lens even innocent things.

Buddy needs to take a break and possibly see a therapist.

I don’t think there’s a lot of factual information to find out at the moment, to be fair. Just a lot of speculation so. You’re not missing anything factual 👍

Besides, if MICHAEL (1?) carries on at it is, they might not fit anyone else into cinemas, if they bring out MICHAEL 2!!

I suppose that could do back to back all day and night showings of them both! 🤔😉🤣👑👑👑
