The Victory Tour Bootleg

Looking for information regarding a bootleg of a Jacksons show during the Victory tour in '84. I read in an old Billboard that someone was arrested for distributing copies of it in August of that year, but I can't find anything about what happened with the case or if there was even a trial. Any die hard fans remember what resulted from the investigation, or know how to find out?

No clue, the article I read was short and didn't give out any other specifics other than the name of the person arrested and by whom. In this case, the FBI.

Yeah IIRC it was either Dallas, or maybe Kansas City? Man, its been a minute since I thought about this! Wasn't it someone that got unauthorized access to the screen feed and made the copies off of that signal?

Yes! I think that was settled quietly out of court. I’m surprised we hadn’t gotten a clear copy of the show after all these years

Same here, you'd think someone would have run onto one of those tapes that did circulate back then by now and surfaced.
