The ‘YAY I JUST HEARD MICHAEL ON THE RADIO’ Thread

Walking through Dublin earlier and a busker was singing On The Line... Very random... I sung along for a second and he was pleased I knew the song
 
Smooth FM. I didn't actually hear the song, but they said

"... and before that you heard Man In The Mirror. Last night I saw the musical for the second time. Jamal is the new Michael and he did a great job".

They were paid to say it, of course, but at least it's good coverage.

Also, the same station has a short snippet of IJCSLT in one of their jingles.

I've listened to radio station Movin 107.7 since I was kid, but they recently stopped playing Michael Jackson songs. And I don't know why. 😢
 
this isn’t the radio, but michael is currently number one on the ‘top of the pops’ 1983 repeat with ‘billie jean’💜
 
In work this week I heard The Way You Make Me Feel, Beat It and Remember The Time
 
I spun the whole Off the Wall Album on tonights Urban Smooth Dublin South FM 93.9
 
Michael Jackson is very rarely played on FM radio where I live. I live in a very woke area where cancel culture runs strong.

Was pleasantly surprised to hear "Bad" on the radio today though on a classic hits station. I do hear a Michael Jackson song on that station maybe once or twice a year. Not often.
 
yesterday on select fm, london’s number one for electronic/house music, a remix for ‘don’t stop til you get enough’ was part of a mega mix. the dj’s referred to michael as ‘the one and only’, and started making ‘hee-hee’ sounds lol. they joked about wanting to bust out some moves in the studio. it was a pleasant surprise. michael is still well loved 💜
 
quite funny , Will You Be There was on my local station then suddenyl it cut into the stations news broadcast... then when i turned it to another channel ..Got To Be There was on.
I certainly appreciate moments like these.

I caught the end of this too.
 
I got smooth criminal in chfi fm 98.1. I don't know why but it always sounds so much "better" when it randomly comes on the radio than when played on CD.
