I am excited about them cos my cousin is in them!..she is the girl in the black tight trousers in the back of both of them - Zoe Birkett, she performed in the last two Thriller Live Tours.

since you're cousin is in it... do you know the story behind it? Are they just messing around, or is it backed by SONY?

That's fantastic!

People should get together and start doing this everywhere! Random performances of the Thriller dance all over the world, in all kinds of places. Maybe even timed together! No wait; just randomly, so no one will suspect it will happen and every time it would be a surprise. Or something like that. That would be amazing!

Wouldn't that be cool? You're walking down the street and a Thriller dance party suddenly breaks out right in front of you? I'd wanna join in; maybe I'd better start learning the moves, lol!

OMG that's spectacular
im in love with these little recreations.

i wish i could catch something like that around here. i wouldn't be surprised if it did happen here considering i live in NYC. The closest thing i got to it was a screaming rendition of beat it and wanna be starting something on the train today by some teens lol

This is all part of the Thriller 25 (viral) marketing campaign. It's a great idea. Sony are behind this.

It is the same people iin the first 2 videos! Maybe SONY fixed them, and then they want people to follow them.

It says in a Thriller Live email (sent out yesterday) that dances were arranged around London by Sony and the Thriller Live team. As I said, this is promotion for the 25th anniversary album release. Sony saw how popular the Thriller wedding dance and Thriller prison videos were and are trying to replicate their success. It's a great idea, but I think maybe they've missed the boat a bit.

From the Thriller Live email:

'THRILLER LIVE' GOES UNDERGROUND

The biggest selling album of all time went underground last week when London commuters were taken by storm with a performance of the famous 'Thriller' dance on the London tube.
The video shows passengers looking flabbergasted as the impromptu performance by fellow commuters kicks off. One viewer said: 'This is amazing!!! Slick as hell. I love the people who pretend they're not interested.' Another Internet watcher said: 'The polite applause at the end is the best bit - very British.'

The dance was performed by professional dancers from 'Thriller Live', who got together with Sony BMG to plan the 25th anniversary of the release of Thriller and thought it would be fun to perform the 'Thriller' dance in various locations around London.

Watch it now on: YouTube

Hiya - I see your question was answered by others...certainly a combination of Sony and Thriller Live team employed them to do these random performances.
