Hi all, I want to let you know about a campaign being taking place created by fans, for make the directors and people involved in the coverage of the sign that once read Michael Jackson auditorium after the 1993 allegations, uncover that sign.
If you want to help you can do one of the following:
1. If you live in LA or if you happen to be in the area, you can show support by making a sign or banner that says "Uncover Michael Jackson's Name" and having your photo taken (while holding the sign) near the auditorium. Send your photos to MJFAM@groupmail.com and we'll post them in this album - "LA Supports the Uncover MJ's Name Campaign" on facebook.
2. But, if you don't live in LA, it's okay! We'd like to ask you to do the same thing - make your own "Uncover MJ's Name" banner/sign and have your photo taken while holding the banner. You can do it individually, as a group, and/or as a family. Please send in photos to MJFAM@groupmail.com together with your name(s) and your location (city or state, country). We will compile them on a different album that says "The World Supports the Uncover MJ's Name Campaign".
3. Take a video of yourself talking about the campaign and sharing your thoughts about it. Or if you're camera shy, an audio file would work too. Send them in the form of .avi, .wmv, .mov, .mp4 and for audio files, please send them as .mp3. We will post them on our video section. (We'll make a video out of the audio files, unless you'd choose to do that on your own).
Everything will be compiled and copies will be given to the authorities (Gardner St. School and LAUSD). This is your chance to be heard even more! However, if you plan to record yourself (video or audio), please remember to be calm and respectful. All of these will be screened first before compiling.

LETTER INSTRUCTIONS:
- Write a letter to Mr. Kenneth Urbina (Gardner St. School principal) explaining your thoughts on the covering of Michael Jackson's name on the Gardner Street School Auditorium sign. PLEASE be calm, respectful, and professional. Letters with inappropriate words will not be accepted.
- Sample letters are available in the Discussion board for you to use and edit.
Please send in your letters for Mr. Kenneth Urbina to our email address:
- MJFAM@groupmail.com
We will gather all the letters then personally hand them in to the school officials. This way, we are sure that they've received it.
Letters will be delivered every two weeks. Please let your letters be respectful.
