Was "Is It Scary" really recorded in 1993

MJ was filming the original Ghosts and reworked the title song with Teddy Riley that year, but I thought Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis refused to work with MJ out of respect for Janet until they produced the duet "Scream", which was recorded in 1994.
