Was the album Thriller predicted 3 years before its release in 1979?

I was watching the commercial for the album Off The Wall, listening to the narrator promote the album, when I noticed the following phrase: "Another Thriller from Michael Jackson".

What I find even better is the fact that this was 3 before the Thriller album was released.

What do you think?

OMG I was just thinking the same thing, I also came accross a song of his that I was searching the lyrics for nd there it was "Walk on the Moon" reference that was recorded many years before Thriller!! It was awesome to see that tho! I ws tyring to go back nd find it but couldn't but when I see it again I will post it here once I FIND it again!! 🫢 :ROFLMAO: 🙌

Not too sure about "Walk on the Moon" but in this one he asks if he will "be on the Moon"

Or also in this one: "I'm gonna be an astronaut ... And rock it to the Moon"

Which I always misheard "and rocket to the Moon" ... though I'm not sure if rocket exists as a verb in English.
And could also be easily misheard as "walk into the Moon" ?

YOU GOT IT that is the one, thank you I was going crazy because I listened to so many mj songs that I lost the one with this reference stating exactly what you said here validating to me that "THRILLER" was aleady taking form in a FUTURE concepts inside his magical universe ready to TAKE OVER THE WORLD FOREVER!
THANK YOU!!! 🙌 🫶 🙌

I just though of this recently, listening to J5. There are some other random bits in early catalogue that kind of wormhole my mind to a future album:
'She is super bad now!' in Dancing Machine. (There are other uses of the word bad but they don't work as well for me.)
'The life you leading is dangerous!' in Bless His Soul.
Also the whole lyrics of Things I Do For You kind of remind of all the people who would later get close to him for money, fame and such... but maybe he was already used to it back then... It's just that I picture MJ from the 70s as having much less of this kind of problems than later MJ.

I can't hear anything from Thriller anymore I don't need a new Thriller50 edition with weak demo songs

I think at the time they just promoted it and was like dj khaled "another one" it was different times back then. Think about it...Thriller lasted on promo alone from 82-85 thats 4 years alone on one album, today the album last almost a month and people are like whats next because the music isnt as memorable as back then. so they couldve still just been promoting otw at the time after thriller just in case you didnt hear or have off the wall
