I have the grand total of zero invincible tracks. Though the album has grown on me over the years. Closest song to my top 40 would be “heartbreaker” and “don‘t walk away”

I don't think I have heard even half of the songs in your list! And I am not yet ready to listen to more than what I already have. I think I have close to 100 songs now, maybe I will just create a list from what I have.

Yeah there is some Motown stuff on there, it is sonically so different to his post thriller career, you might not really like it all that much, i’m pretty old school.

If the question was to put my top 100 I could have easily done that too and then there would be invincible tracks in the list.

Er, what now? Why would I not like Motown? Motown is where I came in. J5. I was into J5 from day one. I LOVE Motown. Just went and bought me some Stevie today to fill another gap in my CD collection (CD's cos I'm old school).

I love all phases of Michael's career. OTW gets the least attention from me but I don't hate it. And, obvs, there are certain songs I'm not fussed on. But, no, all phases. It's all good. It's true Dangerous and onwards is my fave 'phase'. But there are gems scattered all over. That's why these different lists are so awesome. 34, 39 and 40 on your list I need to check out.

@zinniabooklover yeah I was mostly referring to hiker really. You probably know 34 it was a radio hit in 1984 , duet with Jermaine and also live during the victory tour!

Oh that was me! I am too new school to be able to appreciate anything before OTW. Maybe some day I will go back to 70s. Context: filmandmusic had that discussion sometime over chat I believe.

I take it you also love Marvin Gaye? He was clearly a huge inspiration to Michael. My top 3 vocalists are Mj, Marvin Gaye and George Michael

Yeah but the duet, Michael lifts it up a notch or two, his vocals are that good. 😂

Actually, not so much with the Marvin Gaye. His voice is too smooth for me. Although I do like smooth vocals. But if I want that I'd rather listen to Teddy Pendergrass (sp?). I probably will revisit What's Goin' On at some point cos they gave it a big fancy schmancy reissue. Cos of the 50 years. But, no, his voice is great but never sounds like it has anything to say to me, personally.

Smokey. Stevie. Eddie Kendricks. Dennis Edwards. Levi. David Ruffin. Those are my Motown guys.

Edwin Starr. Otis. Sam. Arthur Conley. Jackie Wilson.

I would put all of those guys before Marvin.
