Always been a tad confused about this. The footage of him in the red shirt recording dates from when exactly? I think August 2001, and the brown jacket footage, obviously, is from September 2001 when he decided to work on the track in response to 9.11.
What was the purpose of recording the video footage and song in the footage where he has longer hair which looks like it's mid 2001 I wonder? Or was it just a case that he recorded everything on video for private use.
