Anyway. I really like What a Lovely Way To Go now. But I'd love to hear the Mark Ronson mix, of course. And will, until I perhaps do finally get to. I know there are fan mixes, but. They aren't the same. I want that professional polish.

Besides that, I really wanna hear more of Who Do You Know, and that song would be great in the modern day radio. Just change it up, maybe give it a Daniel Caesar ambiance. Could've been great.

As for stuff they have yet to use, hmm. I'm actually more of the mindset that they can mostly stick to the latter day stuff.

Work Your Body, from 1990. I have always daydreamed with a modern slick sound like 2003 Neptunes. And I think if they spruce it up it could be a decent hit.

Chicago 1945, while I really like it, I definitely think they should touch it up more. While most people didn't want it, including Steve Porcaro, at this point, I think we'd all be ok with it.

Besides that, Throwin' Your Life Away. Is actually truly great and should not be extensively modified at all. And I want to hear whatever MJ did with it post 2009. But, I could hear it with a new producers sound, in the same way Teddy Riley boosted up Dangerous and Someone Put Your Hand Out.

Getting back to the latter day tunes. Can't Get Your Weight Off Me, could be great if Rodney came back and changed it. And if they ever do anything with post Invincible material, namely, RedOne and Will.I.Am, it would depend.

But don't touch I Was The Loser.

And tbh, don't mess with Buffalo Bill, or Hot Street. Not in any significant ways. Even though those two songs are probably some of the most potent hit-worthy tracks left in the vault.

I don't think any of the Bryan Loren tracks are good enough for a remix, Imo the Estate should save the songs for re-issue editions instead.

I wouldn't mind seeing a remixed version of I Am A Loser/I Was The Loser honestly, although I don't think it needs a remix necessarily I still would be interested in hearing a more modernized take on it. After all the song is over 20 years old already.

Mainly I want to hear a remix of Chicago 1945, the song has good vocals but the instrumental is boring and holds the song back quite a bit. Too bad that it'll never happen though lol.

Lady In My Life has a R&B touch, and has a perfect tone. I really like that song, but a version with beats would be very cool. It can feel faster because of the beats, and would have a rock taste to it.

I don't see how it'd be an insult at all, if an artist covers an MJ song it means they most likely are a big fan, and that's always a positive in my book. Doesn't mean the covers are always great, but even then I can still appreciate the sentiment behind them. And even then it's a matter of taste. But I'd much rather hear 1,000 mediocre covers than yet another scandalous tabloid article using the J-word.

As for the original question: not sure I have a real answer to it, other than the fact I don't deem it necessary for songs that have already been released.

Covers are Covers. Anybody can do those. I mean they have the right. I have the right to not enjoy most of them. But I do love when the indie boys cover Stranger in Moscow. Still, That's not what I had in mind.

Family Thing may not have started as a Bryan Loren track, but he certainly went on to produce it at some point. Korgnex uploaded a snippet of the Loren-produced version a few weeks ago.

Their aim with the 'Thriller 25' album was to reintroduce Michael Jackson's work to a new generation of listeners.

That is why, they enlisted a current producer named will.i.am in order to oversee, produce, and even vocally participate in the new remixes of that release.

With the aim of the contemporary appeal in their mind, they also hired Kanye West, Akon, etc, artists that the new generation of listeners was very familiar with at that time.

I do want Bruno Mars to have a cover of one MJ song.

It would be more interesting to hear the unreleased song from the RedOne sessions that Bruno Mars recorded instead of Michael Jackson (the song that was originally meant for Michael Jackson's new album).
