What songwriter best captured MJs persona?

Ice Cube. His collaboration with MJ led to one of the greatest songs, Michael have ever recorded - We Be Bowling You. Pure masterpiece! Should have been released as the main single for Invincible album with music video as well! I love this song. It's perfect!
Id argue that Ice Cube is topped by another legend: Eddie Murphy. That collaboration created MJs best 90s hit and channeled MJs spirit perfectly into a perfect song including an iconic musical short movie ;)

Are we talking lyrics, or music as well?
When it comes to the music, I’ll go with Brad Buxer. He didn’t get the credits he deserved, but he was crucial to the compositions of Heal the World and Stranger in Moscow. Both are iconic MJ songs.

I explicitly mentioned songwriters so I was meaning lyrics. You make a compelling enough case that I might allow it though.

Do we have a list of alle the songs from Buz Kohan?
I know of: Gone to Soon, You Were There, Scared of the Moon, Elizabeth I Love You and the Peter Pan movie demos (ie Make a Wish). Are there more?
The only one I can think of is 'You're The One' and Fuzball already flagged it up. I wish we had more from Buz.

Sorry that this is off topic, but I realized that MJ seemed to always use the word "see" in the Invincible songs. during the first pre-chorus of YRMW, he says "see, and I finally found". He also says "see" in the pre-chorus of Unbreakable, He says it multiple times in WH. He even says "see" in GYWOOM.

Was this a phase he was in where he liked to use the word "see", or was it a songwriter who wrote on the songs and that was their word of choice?

Sounds like both, he was the interpreter of the songs and he kept using see. It's like how I usually leave off questions saying "Okay".

Michael Jackson was a traitor during these times! He betrayed his classic ad-libs for new ones. He used come on instead of shamone in 2000 Watts song. WHAT THE HELL MIKE, ARE YOU SERIOUS?!

I've always just assumed it was an ad-lib. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I really like the presence of 'see' in WH. There's something about the cadence that it creates that I love.
