I'm curious about who here stood outside of the Forum/Staples Center to hear Michael rehearsed This Is It because I wanna know if anyone recorded any rehearsals other than the recorded rehearsals that already leaked (Heal The World, You Will Be There, etc). I wanna know if anyone has recordings of Stranger In Moscow, Off The Wall Medley, and other songs he rehearsed but we don't have vocals too yet.

It would be really cool if someone recorded the full This Is It rehearsals so fans can see what Michael was envisioning for the tour.

We gotta find these people, it's not right that they are keeping this stuff to themselves. Like it's understandable if it's an unreleased song because those are completely illegal to share, but these are recordings of how Michael sounds when singing live vocals for This Is It. Yeah they would be in crappy quality but it's better than nothing and it's the closest we'll ever get to unedited raw This Is It stuff.

I was looking throughout the forum to see if I can find anyone else besides @KOPV that was at the Staples Center and recorded what they heard. A lot of fans were there, I'm pretty sure we are bound to find some that have accounts here. Even if they aren't active here anymore, we could find some alternate contact. Can anyone else help assist me in this search?

The files were shared at the time. Many of them may be still on YouTube. They were shared here as well.

At the time, a fan called Ariel, who got to listen to the rehearsals, gave a very detailed description of how the rehearsals went on HideOut and also shared what he recorded. They were indeed crappy quality, and he confirmed, that most of what he heard was pre-recorded.

The things that stood out: Dirty Diana (same recording as the album) and DANGEROUS (new arrangements). He confirmed, prior to the release of THIS IS IT, the chop in BLACK OR WHITE lyrics and the chop of HEAL THE WORLD (that sounded like it sounds on the THIS IS IT credits).

Don't get your hopes high of still finding live vocals. Let THIS IS IT dry already.

@waldo would most certainly have been there. Don’t want to put you on the spot Sir, but maybe you have some recordings which you can share with us. Would be highly appreciated.
 
We might aswell wait until the best quality possible is available when Sony Pictures Eventually decide to release more footage on 4k possibly someday?
