Love this thread (and your pic profile), this is a beautiful idea!

I think we could make a dramatic song a bit like Little Susie and We've Had Enough where we talk about him, his fights, his sorrows, his hope and his memory.

I tried to write lyrics, here's what it gives (keep in mind that english is not my maternal language):

He was too sweet to beat
But I swear, he fight it
One thing to understand
Is for earth he stand
Philanthropist and humanist
The world takes him for a beast
No one mother wishes for his son
To endure like Michael Jackson.

My song would be called Salvation. Over the years, the love and affection that he had gotten from his fans were like his salvation even in his darkest moments of his days, their love for him kept rising on.

My favourite songs of his are Man in the Mirror and Human Nature, I'm quite old school But it's so hard to choose and I enjoy different songs on different days.

Here is my offering - Not written for him to sing, but a song to him.

I use to repeat the lyrics from man in the mirror to myself all the time during a period that I was being bullied at school as a teanager. Yes i'm that old . Those lyrics really helped me keep going and stay strong.

Hey there Wren,

I really don't have a favorite song, but, if I do, then it would have to be You Rock My World due to the fact that after a long week, it's so tiring at times to do a lot around in the house, plus, with my Dad going through Pancreatic Cancer, it can be stressful but the minute when Friday Night comes, then that's when I put the song on plus, I like Dirty Diana especially whenever I get angry at times when I feel no one understands me and at times, I will also crash out too.

Thanks for being so honest. Yes I find music can really help with housework too. So sorry for your Dad, and tough times for you. I listen to Dirty Diana more than You Rock My World, don't know why though
