Teddy Riley confirmed in a radio interview that The Duet Album project is one of the future releases. He said that "the biggest names in music industry" will be duetting with Michael on that album. Michael recorded many songs before his passing, but many of them has only one verse and chorus.. according to Teddy Riley..

I think it should be mix of great musicians that Michael respected and some current talented musicians.. This would be my choice:

Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Whitney Huston, Janet Jackson, Usher, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Lady GaGa (one of the RedOne tracks), Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas (one of the will.i.am tracks), Akon & T-Pain. Guest rappers: Jay-Z, P. Diddy, Kanye West and 50 Cent. I would also like to hear duets that Michael recorded with Ray Charles (Seeing Voices) and with Freddy Mercury & Queen band (Victory, There Must Be More To Life Than This). Bonus track From The Bottom Of My Heart (with all stars).

What "stars" would you like to hear on this release? And what names should not be on this release?

The day that Michael Jackson duets with Lady GaGa is the day I hand in my white glove.

I like her and respect her and according to RedOne Michael liked her too, he even choose her to open This Is It.. I prefer her over Rihanna any time.

Right. And according to Will.I.Am Michael wanted to work with Cheryl Cole. And according to Shaheen Jafargholi's management, Michael wanted him to open This Is It. And according to Diversity's management, Michael wanted them to open This Is It. Incredible how busy Michael's been in death, don't you think?

I have zero respect for Lady Gaga and everything she stands for.

Having said that, Lady Gaga would be better than Bristol Palin. Just.

You have a point there, but I think that maybe RedOne is not lying.. I have zero respect for everything she stands for too but I respect her musical talent (she wrote and composed most of her songs, and she plays many instruments).

I didn't think Teddy Riley would lie either, but there you go.

Sorry. I've got nothing good to say about Lady Gaga. You don't want to hear what I think :)

I respect your opinion.. But I have feeling that that duet will happen in the future, because RedOne tracks are unfinished and he adores GaGa..

I will gladly support the colloborations which were recorded by Michael Jackson and his duet partners before his death. However, I'm totally against the idea of "finishing" incomplete songs with lyrics and partnerships that were not approved by Michael. Although I like Teddy and appreciate his talents, I am very concerned about his apparent desire to complete Michael's vision on incomplete products. I am also highly doubtful that most of the leading artist of today would want to get involved in a project like this based on public perception.

Oh of course. They're going to squeeze every drop of blood that they can. No question. It's just that when they release the Paris Hilton and Michael Jackson duet, I won't be here to celebrate it.

Hahaha.. Paris Hilton.. that is funny!

Seriously, what the hell are they thinking? Making a DUET album with Michael Jackson after his death? It's BS! They should flush the idea down the toilet. I don't want to see MJ singing with Bieber, Gaga, Kesha, Kanye West, Usher, and other artists. It's plain wrong.

What, they gonna take his songs and vocals, and cut out some to fit their parts? Again, this idea SUCKS.

You think I'm joking???

"If rumors are true, close Michael Jackson friend Paris Hilton will sing with Michael Jackson as will Bristol Palin, who apparently can dance and sing"

I tought that you are joking, and I think that that article is a joke too. I wouldn't want to hear duet with the porn star wannabe or that other girl (I checked on wikipedia who she is, didn't know who she is before).. But I would like to hear duets with "stars" that I mentioned before..

They would not cut out anything, Michael only recorded 1-2 verses and chorus, they will complete the songs with other artists singing other parts of the song and duetting with Michael on the chorus.. Don't know if Michael wrote the other lyrics or just the parts that he recorded..

word.

i will NOT buy an album with unfinishes songs and untalented singers on it. NEVER

especially this gaga woman.:doh: no way i would support her in any way

Who knows? If the money is good, Sony and the Estate will go for it.

Duets with Bieber and Gaga sound like the hottest thing in the industry now.

I hate duets. Hate them. I hope this album doesn't come out & is replaced with a different project. :(

Agreed. This idea sucks so bad..I hope they don't intend to do this

Good point regarding the popularity of Bieber and Gaga. Can't imagine that either of them would want to get involved with this project though. Ditto for any other current superstars. I think the only way the Estate/Sony could pull this off is with some less popular artist. IMO, the best strategy is for them to continue to re-release the classic albums along with different combinations of greatest hits collections. They can include the mostly completed unreleased songs as bonus tracks (excluding the C tracks) to help generate interest in the projects and airplay.

The only way I support this is if they use the rest of the Cascio tracks. Because then, I wouldn't have to see Michael Jackson sing with these artists.

I think the best thing to do with the "one verse, one chorus" songs is to release double the amount as a usual album (maybe 18-20 tracks) and just call it "Michael Jackson: Unplugged" or something. Completely undedited, completely raw. At least then there's no excuse for reviewing the album badly, it says what's on the disk and anyway, Michaels half finished songs are usually better than todays over produced garbage.

oh NO..I think they should leave Michael's unfinished songs...unfinished....there is noway anyone in the music world could possibly know how Michal may of finished these tracks...he left them the way they are now for a reason...NOT for someone to come along and put what they would call their final stamp of approval on HIS work. ONLY Michael can put HIS approval on HIS unfinished work. It would be very sad to see his work being ruined by having other artists (I use that word lightly according to some of these sames I am seeing) try and put their touch on a song just so it can be put on a duet album that will probably stink the in end. PPB don't need money from this project...IMO

Unless Michael is really doing the duet(or the song is made for duet) with them so is a big NO for me. You'll be listening more of the other artist than Michael with repeated verses. Urgh. I dont like that. It's a featuring more than a duet :(
