Herbert Deutsch, co-inventor of the Moog synthesiser, has died. Born - 9 Feb 1932, died 9 Dec 2022.

Robert Moog was the engineer / technician. Herbert was a musician and composer - apparently he was the one who suggested adding a keyboard which turned it into a musical instrument instead of just being an electronic gadget. The Moog started life in 1964. They created the Minimoog Model D in 1971.

For me, the Moog will always mean Keith Emerson of Emerson, Lake and Palmer which is why I put it in this thread.
